I first did Via Ferrata with Keswick Adventure Centre in March having booked the activity as a birthday present for my boyfriend. Despite it being a cold and drizzle day it was an amazing and exhilirating activity made even better by our good humoured 'life' guard Phil! I was so impressed that when our work team were trying to come up with an idea on how to spend our social budget I suggested we do this. We all got up at the crack of dawn to take the 2 hour drive from Manchester to be there on time at 9.30.

Being in a group with mixed levels of fitness and ability you could say that it might not be for everyone but everyone thoroughly enjoyed it. The thrill seeking boys loved it and even those that found the experience a little more nerve wracking felt a sense of achievement and were buzzing after they had completed the circuit.

The guys at Keswick Adventure Centre are so professional. Even though Phil must have done this activity hundreds of times he is so enthusiastic with every group!

Such a good day out! I will definitely be going back for some Ghyll Scrambling at some point!

Thanks for an amazing day!

We took a group of Scouts on the via Ferrara last weekend. The instructors were brilliant, dealing with the range of kids we had, from the nervous to the superheroes really well making sure everyone had the same challenging and very enjoyable experience. This is quite a challenge with such a big group size (16!).

Book these guys, they are fantastic and you won't regret it!

We went to keswick for my birthday weekend, and I said I wanted to go scrambling as I'd enjoyed canyoning in Costa Rica. Phil was our instructor and he was perfect, he made it so much fun and we felt confident that he knew what he was doing and enjoyed his job. We would definitely come back again. This really is a hugely fun activity, great if you love getting stuck in and you don't mind getting wet.

We paid for a ghyll scramble in the lake district with Keswick adventure centre and had an amazing experience. You need to come prepared as changing ad drying is basic, but the knowledge and experience of our lovely guide was fantastic and he made us feel safe. The whole thing was exhillerating and we will definitely be back!

Spent the bank holiday week-end with friends in Keswick and we decided to go with a morning of canoeing and afternoon of ghyll scrambling , Alastair went above and beyond the call of duty when we were canoeing , giving a piggyback to one damsel in distress ! It was a great morning and we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves felt very safe in Alistairs hands and out spaniel had a rare time as a passenger in our canoe.
Phil and Alistair were brilliant as out guides when we went ghyll scrambling a superb afternoon very fun and refreshing definitely give this a go worth every penny and make sure you have dry clothes to get back into .
