Everything about Brirholme was perfect. Very good location right in the centre of Keswick, rooms were kept very clean and tidy and our room had great views, wonderful hospitality from Gerry and Trevor who always made you feel welcome. Would recommend to anyone who wants to spend time in the lake distict.

We stayed at Brierholme before we ran the 22km Great Trail Challenge. I was pleasantly surprised by the B&B, our room was lovely with stunning views out over Keswick. We stayed at the front of the property and I could see the mountains from the bed. It was so peaceful and quiet at night. This B&B couldn't be better located, walking distance to starting line of the race, and to the centre of Keswick.

I have often found it uncomfortable staying in guest houses, either you feel you are encroaching on someone's home, or the hosts are either really OTT or a bit backward and strict, and you don't feel you have any privacy... Geraldine and Trevor were perfect - genuine, down to earth hosts with a sense of humour, they helped us plan a walking route, let us borrow ordnance survey maps, and catered for my vegetarian diet with a great breakie.

Would definitely come back and recommend to others!

The friendly owners Gerry and Trevor made us feel so welcome from the moment we arrived. Our room at the back of the house, was light and quiet with a lovely view of their garden and a distant fell. We appreciated the two bottles of water supplied in our room, and the big mugs and teapot provided for the complimentary tea, coffee, hot chocolate and cookies. These nice touches make a lasting impression.
The hot english breakfast was delicious, generous and cooked to order. Every day, Gerry made the best fresh fruit salad, and she also made her own marmalade. We found plenty of good restaurants and pubs, nearby and a supermarket.
We could not believe our luck, when we realised that our hosts, Gerry and Trevor had extensive knowledge of the Fells because they had hiked most themselves. They gave us plenty of personal advice on all the Fells that we had come to Keswick to hike. They also have a library of guide books and maps on many of the fells, which guests can borrow. We enjoyed our stay immensely. Christine and Karmel.

This is the second time we have stayed with Geraldine & Trevor at Brierhlome and we are quite hard to please.

Absolutely everything was perfect. I have no idea how things are kept so spotless.

If you need a nice place to stay with wonderful hosts (who will laugh at all your bad jokes) there really is no competition. The 'No Vacancies' board outside says it all.
Alan and Catherine.

I can honestly say Brierholme was the best accommodation we have stayed in anywhere in the
UK. My partner who comes from Nova Scotia was pleasantly surprised as we had previously stayed in an expensive Hotel in Oban which was terrible. The location, the lovely welcome and
super breakfast, plus a fabulous bedroom with views over Keswick and perfect hosts, what more can I say.
