Hi Guys. Thanks for your comments, we are only sorry that we were unable on this occasion to accommodate you for the last night of your break. It's good to hear that your friends enjoyed their stay with us and their very first visit to the lakes. It would be lovely to have you all back here with us in the not too distant future and we'll do our utmost to make sure we have all the nights you need!

Tina and Bernie welcome you into their home with advice on the area, wonderful breakfasts and home made bread. Clean, comfortable, very welcoming and with easy access into the town centre - 200 metres. We were looking to work within a budget so chose one single and one twin room without en-suite bathrooms. The bathroom and toilet were either on the same floor or down one flight of stairs but did not feel like a restriction at all (for the use of our two rooms only).

We were greeted warmly by Tina and Bernie when we arrived and they continued to be wonderful hosts throughout our stay.  They are now very experienced having run their B&B for several years.  Bernie's home baked biscuits were provided on arrival and a delicious piece of cake when we returned from our activities the following day.  His breakfasts are delicious and kept us going all day.
The house is centrally located in Keswick, about a 3 minute walk into the town centre for restaurants and shops.  Our room was very clean, comfortable and tastefully decorated.
Tina and Bernie are really genuine people who are very interested in what their guests are doing, and provide great recommendations and good information on activities.  Highly recommended.

As a very elderly gentleman with the usual problems of old age, it was so pleasing to find that Tina and Bernie were so welcoming and went out of their way to take care of me and look after me so well. Food was beautifully prepared and served. Bed was comfortable and warm. The shower was reviving after a long days walk. My thanks to both of you for your part in a lovely holiday.

Just returned from a fabulous 3 night stay at the Cartwheel Guest House and what a superb place to stay it is! It really does live up to all the previous excellent reviews. There is not really anything my husband and I can say that hasn't already been said but I'll just remind anyone if they are looking to book a b&b in the beautiful Keswick.
Fantastic breakfast with a great choice, comfortable rooms that are immaculately clean, peaceful location surrounded by breathtaking views! But only 3 minute walk to the market square with great choice of cafes, pubs and restaurants and shops too. It's also only a 10 minute stroll to the amazing Derwent Water!
The list could go on. Just go for yourself and you will see that all the excellent reviews that they receive are all perfectly true. We couldn't fault it!
Last but not least I have to mention the lovely hosts, Bernie and Tina. They greet you with such a warm welcome and are so friendly and helpful but not intrusive. Nothing is too much trouble for them, sharing their great knowledge and advice on different walks in and around Keswick.
When we are next visiting Keswick the Cartwheel Guest House will definitely be our first choice of a place to stay and hopefully we will walk up Catbells this time!
Thank You Bernie and Tina for a wonderful break at your wonderful guest house and thank you again for the Easter eggs!

Always an excellent stay, I felt The Cartwheel had somehow managed to improve on its already high standards. A friendly welcome, a warm, clean & comfy room, hot shower, beautiful breakfast. Well done Tina & Bernie.

Room Tip: Room 4 - comfy en suite single with a view of Skiddaw.
