We stayed at the Rowan Tree back in early September and it was a lovely break away with my wife. The accomodation is clean and modern and the breakfast excellent. The owners were lovely and friendly and i would highly reccomend this b & b to anyone. The location too is brilliant with the lake just a few minutes walk away aswell as the town with all the restaurants and shops. Could not reccoment this more.

Thanks for a lovely stay.

We stayed at the Rowan Tree Guest House for 2 nights and were warmly greeted on arrival and shown to our room (Room 1). Although our room was small, it was perfect for 2 of us and was clean, bright and had all the amenities we needed including the wonderfully warm shower. Steve and Amanda were both very friendly and helpful, giving us lots of recommendations for where to eat and what to see. There is a drying room for wet walking boots and coats which was very useful and easily accessible. The Rowan Tree Guest House is about a 5 minute walk from the centre of Keswick so there was no need to use our car throughout our stay. It was busy to park as there is only roadside parking but we managed to find a street not too far away. Breakfast each morning was delicious and really set us up for the day. I would definitely recommend The Rowan Tree Guest House for families and couples of any age.

We really enjoyed our stay at the RT, & would thoroughly recommend it. We were welcomed (by name) upon arrival by genial hosts Amanda & Steve, & I think we received a warm welcome every time we walked through the door after that, which was fab :-)

The whole hotel has a very fresh, tasteful & modern feel, & lacks the sometimes tired & dated feel of some similar guest houses I've stayed in. Amanda & Steve have done a great job retaining the building's character, & the it all feels very clean & cared-for.

Our room (#2) was lovely - big & bright (& plenty of space for our party of 3), with the best black-out curtains I've ever seen in a B&B! An excellent king-sized bed too.
An excellent power shower in the en-suite, & a respectfully-sized shower unit.
We had a lovely breakfast every morning, which was perfectly-prepared.

The guest house itself is in an excellent location, literally 5 minutes level walk from the centre of Keswick. Amanda & Steve have lots of good local knowledge too, & can point you in the direction of the best pubs & restaurants!

A very enjoyable stay, & we'd love to go back.

Room Tip: All rooms are viewable on the Rowan Tree's website - take a look for yourself and see! :-)

We stayed in room 2, huge room, lovely bay window, comfortable bed. Bathroom immaculate, and power shower is great, especially after a day in the rain on the fells! The whole place looks like brand new, and attention to detail is great. Breakfast is delicious, and not all fried. Steve and Amanda do a great job.
It is literally 5 minutes to town, and less than 10 minutes to the bus station. Walks are also available from the doorstep. We didn't use the car for 3 days. Steve also has a very handy drying area which is a must in the lakes....

We were pleasantly surprised when we were shown to our room, it was more than big enough for the 3 of us, the amenities were great, TV, hairdryer, toiletries, tea, coffee, bottled water, biscuits, hot chocolate, (which the little one loved). The room and bathroom was nicely decorated and were spotless! The bigger than king size bed was so comfortable, as was the single bed. After an amazing nights sleep we had a lovely breakfast, there was lots of choice, from a full English to fruit, cereal, yogurt etc. The full English was so tasty and made with fresh, local produce, as we stayed for 3 nights I managed to sample most of the selection! Steve and Amanda were so friendly, and offered their advice on where to visit from day trips to meals out to the gorgeous cafe that does tasty cream teas'. Nothing was too much trouble and they went out of their way to ensure that everything was ok. The guest house is in a great location, a few minutes walk into town, and parking available just outside. Would definitely recommend staying here to everyone as they cater to everyones needs, bikers, walkers, couples, families etc. Thanks Steve & Amanda, and will definitely stay at the Rowan Tree Guest House again!!

A very warm welcome and my room was just perfect for a single occupant - Steve and Amanda were most helpful and nothing was too much trouble - the breakfast was lovely and set me up for a lovely day on the mountains - I'll be back no question - first class location for walkers and mountain bikers alike.

Room Tip: As a single occupant in a double room it was perfect.

Fantastic b&b & wonderful hospitality by Amanda & Steve. Stayed for 2 nights in room 2 & it was perfect for the three of us. Beds are really comfortable, powerful shower, spotless. Friendly owners & beautiful cooked breakfast. Only 5 mins into town as well. Couldn't have wished for more. Will definitely be coming back.
