Popped in on a rainy Friday for a spot of lunch.....Lovely tempting bar with helpful bartender, got a great 2 seater table by the open fire and a great cup of tea.

Great, tempting menu with home made pie, casseroles and traditional fayre, although prices are on the high'ish side i.e. Steak pie & chips was £11, Lamb Shoulder on Minted Mash with seasonal veg £16....that said, the food was of exceptional quality, cooked to perfection and ample portions, my Lamb fell off the bone and my wife's pie would have fed two with succulent beef and a proper short crust pastry and 'double cooked, home made' chips.

it was a treat to visit and can't wait to return, YUM YUM well done them :-)

Room Tip: Didn't sleep over but have stayed before and can remember a lot of stairs and noisy mornings whe...

Hubby and I had spent the morning shopping and sightseeing in Keswick. We decided to call in at the kings arms inn we had a light lunch and a glass of wine. The food was really very good and beautifully presented. Warm cosy atmosphere staff very warm and welcoming log fires burning Christmas decorations up all made for a great lunch.

Polite and friendly staff, clean rooms and a belly busting breakfast. A good stay in a new town for me. Bang smack in the centre of a beautiful lakes town,I shall be certain to be visiting again. A bustling market was enjoyed too on the Thursday, complimented by a Mr Vikkis curry from one of the stalls.

Room Tip: Not near the back,I believe there is a nightclub at weekends

I have stayed here many times in the past and I have never been disappointed.
The hotel group also own The Skidaw, the Lodore Falls and T he Borrowdale( All Excellent Hotels)
The Kings Arms Hotel is the smallest in the group but is excellent and good value.
I paid £55 for a B&B.
The rooms are adequate with all the necessary facilities allthough at weekends it can be noisy. There is a nightclub at the rear and noise from the the pub over the road at weekends. Also the market can be assembled from 5.30/6.00am Sat mornings.
However it is the centre of Keswick and this is normal for any market town.
The Bar has a selection of Rel Ales and the staff are friendly and helpful.
The Breakfast is Excellent, large and good quality I was served as in my previous visit by a very nice blonde Russian lady, what more could you want!

We spent 3 nights here in October and had a very pleasant stay. The street sounds did not bother us, only noise that could be troublesome is that the floors creaked quite a bit above us, however the guests above did not move around at times when we may have been resting/asleep, so it didn't become a problem. Breakfast was plentiful and served by smiling helpful staff. The pub is popular and serves pub fare at reasonable prices. Keswick is a lovely town and we enjoyed the various pubs with live music and there was plenty to choose from.

To be honest, I only booked a one night stay with DBB because of an offer from the Lake District Hotels website. Really glad I did!
After checking in we were treated to Winter Pimms and hot crumpets. Dinner was good and so was the breakfast. Service was excellent with all staff being friendly and efficient.
Some maintenance work was being carried out in some of the other rooms which could have been a problem but didn't bother us. One of the workmen was considerate enough to ask me what time I was getting up in the morning so that he wouldn't start work till then.
Will definately come again

Visited Keswick on 08/11/13 and stayed until 11/11/13. Didn't stay in The Kings Arms Hotel, but 6 of us ate there on the Sunday evening. I had the burger and the others had the steak pie. The burger came with onion rings within the bun and a hot and spicy sauce. The chips that came with the burger were crsip on the outside but nice and fluffy inside. I must say i'd give the burger a good 8/10. The 5 that had the steak pie said it was delicious and everyone cleared their plate. I'm not sure if the pie's were homemade, but the taste and the way they were presented certainly gave that impression.

All in all a very enjoyable meal all washed down with a nice cold pint of Kronenburg. If anyone was there on the night of 10/11/13 do they remember Sarah, the woman who was accompanied by 8 Teddy Bears. What a very interesting and sociable woman she was.
