Everything about this B&B is lovely very clean, the breakfasts and the best hosts, Pam and Arthur are welcoming, friendly and so helpful, staying at their B&B made our time in the lakes even more enjoyable. The location is great for getting out and about and just a few minutes walk into town.
PS : Thank you for the flasks of milk xx take care hope to see you soon xx

This is the second time I've visited Keswick and stayed at the Seven Oaks guest house. The room we stayed in was bright, spacious and very clean, with an en-suite. Pam and Arthur made us feel very welcome and were always around to offer advice on the best places to visit or eat, if we required it. The breakfasts were always delicious and beautifully presented! Plenty of tea and toast was also to be had, which was great when starting a long day walking! I would have no hesitation in recommending the Seven Oaks guest house to anyone wanting to visit Keswick.

Excellent standard of rooms with lots of added thoughtful touches such as unlimited jugs of fresh milk, quality and full sized toiletries, free wifi, tasteful bending and soft towels! Owners who can't do enough for their guests and excellent choice and standard of breakfast. Only thing I would change is make breakfast slightly later than 9am at weekends and we prefer to order on the day (and except a longer wait) than having to decide the previous eve, but that's perhaps being picky!

My husband and I had a great two night stay last month(our only slight gripe would be that we found the mattress to soft, but that's more down to personal taste). We only wish we could have stayed longer!

As other reviews have noted Pam and Arthur are brilliant hosts. They loaned us a map/book as well as walking sticks. Lots of delicious breakfast options as well. The toiletries are lovely and a great view from our room.

We had a car but honestly you would be okay to get around without one (presuming you had a taxi from the nearest station). Access to Keswick town centre is very close by!

This bank holiday weekend i was introduced to the Lake District for the first time. Such a dramatic and beautiful area of the country that for some strange reason i've never visited. When the clouds cleared from the peaks and the sun briefly shone through i was awestruck.

More importantly i was introduced to this little piece of heaven in Keswick. I must confess, i haven't really stayed in many guest houses on my travels but i've stayed in some pretty swanky hotels in a few far flung places and this beats them all, hands down. Pam and Arthur, you've spoilt me! I'd love to explore more of the Lakes but i can't imagine coming up and basing my trip around anywhere else but your inviting house. Thank you so much for a great weekend.

Oh yes, details about the guest house itself!
I think most things have been said, immaculately clean, beautifully decorated and themed rooms. We stayed in the Wainwright room, a tribute to the fell walker and guidebook author. It was such a great place to rest and relax after a busy day. I could go on but as many others have expressed before, the little touches that Pam and Arthur have lovingly put into this house make it such a special and memorable place to visit.
I must make a quick mention of Pam's breakfast......wow!! Locally sourced ingredients cooked to perfection. The bacon and black pudding was the best i've ever had.

Pam, Arthur, it was great meeting you both. I can't wait to visit you the Lakes again.

Steve

Another relaxing stay at Seven Oaks. Immaculate, very comfortable rooms with plenty of extras to make you feel special. Sweets, chocolates, homemade cake and a selection of luxury toiletries,to name a few. Breakfasts are to die for and will set you up for whatever you have planned for your day. I highly recommend the full English breakfast, but the smoothies are also tasty, healthy alternative. Pam and Arthur make you feel like family, rather than a guest and I cannot wait to return. Thank you bothX

Just returned from a 6 night stay at Seven Oaks and cannot praise it highly enough. Pam and Arthur are wonderful hosts, kind and caring, and go above and beyond in helping with info on walks, restaurants, etc. The breakfast is second to none in terms of both quality and choice - on a par with a 5 star hotel (or better!). The house is well placed near the town centre but enough distance from the town pubs so as not to be disturbed by late night revellers!! Our room was spotlessly clean and had everything you could need, plus a few extras which were much appreciated. Would definitely recommend this B & B if you are visiting Keswick.

Room Tip: We were in Room 3 which had a nice bay window and was very sunny when the sun was out.
