We ate here one night for a change from fish and chips. We sat in the conservatory bar. It was clean enough but didn't 'feel' clean. We were ages waiting to be served and waiting for the food to come, and we only got the plates cleared and desserts ordered because my partner gave one of the waiters the evil eye! They were far too busy with the 'posh' side of the restaurant. By the looks of it the conservatory bar (for the common people) was making them a lot more money than the fancy restaurant, but nevertheless you are made to feel quite unwelcome. The waiters did not speak very good English and had no sense of humour. This said, the food was absolutely delicious. I had the lambs liver, my daughter had gammon and my partner had the roast of the day. I can't fault the food but we found it quite pricey. Don't think we will visit here again!
