We visited this tea room Valentine's weekend and received good service with very good cakes and beverages. Our 4 cakes and drinks came in at around £17 which seemed reasonable. A small venue but don't dismiss it without trying first.

Popped in for a light lunch on a Saturday afternoon. The cafe was busy so we thought we would give it a go. Menu was what you would expect however prices were high. Staff were friendly and polite. 2 panini and a pot of tea set me back almost £20.

Poor service, and terrible food pretty much sums up this place. We were brusquely informed that no hot food was available as we entered, without so much as an apology. I was served a scone which was so dry and hard it was more like a biscuit, the coffee was average at best too.

Once we were seated, the lady i assume was the owner or manager sat at a table and yelled produce orders to her staff across the tearoom which didn't really add to the atmosphere.

The only plus point is that they allow dogs, but luckily in Keswick so do many other cafes.

This place wouldn't last five minutes if it wasn't in a tourist town and had to rely on repeat business. Avoid..

We have been to Rambles quite a few times - the cakes are really good BUT I have never seen a cafe go downhill so quickly! Today - 1st November - was the end! We arrived at about half pat two and the place was in chaos. The young girls waiting on were totally bewildered and were obviously in need of some training. The lady in charge seemed to be totally unaware of what was going on. We were served our tea and cake before the table was cleared and then the girl proceeded to wipe the table around our food, really! Nobody smiled, no greeting nothing. 6 customers left the cafe without ordering while we were there. Do they not want customers? What a shame!
