me and my other halve found this tea shop by accident as we were biking throu the lakes, as we were both hungry we popped in and chose to sit outside and enjoy the view of the river and mountain up ahead. i had the fresh trout and have to say i was very impressed, caught locally and served as a whole trout it tasted excellent while lily had something (i dont remember what), we then followed it with a pudding which again was very good and homemade.

if i ever find the place again i will definatley be going back, the service was friendly and the bill wasnt over priced in my opinion

“Very nice lunch, great tea and pie”
Reviewed 12 September 2013

We enjoyed our late lunch here on a rainy day. The cottage is old and charming, with slate floors and low ceilings. They cook ham in Aga and baked potatoes, and on the day we visited they have chicken and ham pie on the menu which was delicious. Also a soup of the day and several other dishes in addition to the usual sandwiches. The side salad is substantial and fresh, with yummy coleslaw. We had good Darjeeling tea to accompany. Good value for 2 at $22 and they take credit card. If the weather was better we would have sat outside and enjoyed the views.
