We have stayed at Low Briery for two years running now and find that it is absolutely spot on for us. I'll just get the one and only bugbear out of the way and that is the double bed in Cottage 5 is very uncomfortable indeed but I'm sure that is easily sorted out. Everything else about Low Briery and the cottage which we stay in is comfy, relaxing and in just the right spot for our walking activities. Situated on the old Railway Line, turn right out of the park and you're on your way to town, turn left and you're on the way to Latrigg and Skiddaw, or if you continue on you can get to Threlkeld. A lovely walk. Be very careful driving in and out of the park as there are many red squirrels around. We take our dogs with us and they are made really welcome, even giving us a free pooper scooper and roll of bags! The cottage itself is well equipped and includes a dishwasher, a separate dining and living room, two bedrooms each with their own bath and/or shower, and glorious free WiFi. No washing machine but there is a handy laundrette a few seconds walk away for those emergency washes. Plenty of car parking available. And although I haven't been in there, there's a small pool and indoor play area for the kids. The on-site manager is extremely helpful, our kettle stopped working and he actually went to town and got a new one for us after he had settled down for the evening. Top guy. I love this place!

We shared a 2 bedroom cottage with our daughter and her boyfriend for a walking holiday and couldn't fault it. The whole place was spotlessly clean and cosy throughout our stay. Two bathrooms made a huge difference and there was unlimited hot water which is great when you come back from a very wet day on the fells. Will certainly come again.

We needed a weekend break,so we thought instead of trying to get a B&B we would do something different and try a timber lodge,we loved it,so much more space and comfort than any B &B,and it was great getting up in the morning and having breakfast when we wanted it and not when someone else tells you it's time to eat.it's a very nice holiday village , peaceful, very pretty, the lodge is quite big, clean comfy, all needs met, have nothing negative to add,we are fussy so that's a compliment,in fact we were sorry to leave, would recommend and can't wait to go again, dogs allowed for a small fee so that's a bonus.

We were a party of 4 adults and 2dogs and we stayed In a timber lodge for 4nights over new year. Its Warm, clean, cosy log cabin.some nice little touches on arrival, bottle of mulled wine and mince pies, and a xmas tree which the wife loved!!! Its around a 20-25 min walk into Keswick along an old disused railway track, the path is dark but with torches it was fine.lots of dog friendly shops and pubs!!!
The staff were all friendly. We all really enjoyed it and would definitely stay again
