We have been going to this site for 17 years now and always take our dogs. it is very peaceful not like if you stay in town which we have with the market setting up noise and the nightclub.

Low Briery lets you really relax and loads of walks for the 4 legged ones.

I have looked at other places in Windermere and Ambleside for a change, but cant find any caravan site which is as good value most want £80 a week per dog, but not at Low Briery just a small charge.

Well worth checking out this place if you want to come to Keswick with your dogs.

Room tip: all the caravans are great they come with everything you could need.

We stayed here with extended family and 3 young children.
Stayed in Briery a House which was perfect so we could all be together.
Child's indoor play area was used every day by the kids and the paddling pool is a perfect depth for little ones.
Easy 20 min walk along old railway line into Keswick is ideal for buggies or bikes as is all off road.
1 hour walk the other way to a small village with a great pub with fantastic food.
Staff at Low Briery couldn't have been more helpful and friendly.
Will return.

We stayed in a Canadian Log Cabin over the Easter period. The accommodation was extremely tidy and well equipped. The site has a games area where my 2 sons loved playing ping pong and pool. The location on the river is excellent, and the path next to the site runs to the outskirts of Keswick and will realistically take 25 minutes into the centre on a level walk. We walked back once with torches late at night, on all other occasions we got a taxi at fare £4 (we paid £5).
The staff were excellent and knowledgeable about local area, and when I found the mattress caused a problem with my back, my wife informed reception and while we were out for the day the mattress was changed for a firmer one and my back was fine afterwards (superb service).
We go away for a week each Easter and will definitely return next year as the site is so good and there is so much to do in the local area.
Eating out in Keswick is really nice with the Packhorse and the Dog and Gun our favourites.

We have stayed at Low Briery for two years running now and find that it is absolutely spot on for us. I'll just get the one and only bugbear out of the way and that is the double bed in Cottage 5 is very uncomfortable indeed but I'm sure that is easily sorted out. Everything else about Low Briery and the cottage which we stay in is comfy, relaxing and in just the right spot for our walking activities. Situated on the old Railway Line, turn right out of the park and you're on your way to town, turn left and you're on the way to Latrigg and Skiddaw, or if you continue on you can get to Threlkeld. A lovely walk. Be very careful driving in and out of the park as there are many red squirrels around. We take our dogs with us and they are made really welcome, even giving us a free pooper scooper and roll of bags! The cottage itself is well equipped and includes a dishwasher, a separate dining and living room, two bedrooms each with their own bath and/or shower, and glorious free WiFi. No washing machine but there is a handy laundrette a few seconds walk away for those emergency washes. Plenty of car parking available. And although I haven't been in there, there's a small pool and indoor play area for the kids. The on-site manager is extremely helpful, our kettle stopped working and he actually went to town and got a new one for us after he had settled down for the evening. Top guy. I love this place!

We shared a 2 bedroom cottage with our daughter and her boyfriend for a walking holiday and couldn't fault it. The whole place was spotlessly clean and cosy throughout our stay. Two bathrooms made a huge difference and there was unlimited hot water which is great when you come back from a very wet day on the fells. Will certainly come again.
