Just returned from a very enjoyable 2 night stay. We stayed in the Jr suite room 2 and it very roomy and comfortable. Everything about this room could not be faulted. The bathroom has a lovely corner bath\shower which was fantastic after coming back from walking the mountains. I really liked the simple touches good quality complimentary coffee and hot chocolate in your room. Soap and shower gel supplied too. Fresh milk for use in your room.
The staff were really helpful and professional. We only ate breakfast at this hotel and this was 1st class with plenty to choose from. Certainly set us off for the day.
The bar has a great atmosphere and lots of beers.
I would certainly return to this hotel and have already started to plan a return visit. Well done The Keswick Inn.

Just spent a couple of nights at the Inn - the junior suite was very comfortable and nice to have the extra space. Great meals in the pub and a wide choice of beers on tap too. Friendly staff. Excellent location for exploring the lakes.

I booked into The Inn at Keswick (formerly the Keswick Lodge) for an overnight stay on route from Scotland back to London on a business trip. We were delighted by its location - right in the centre of the market, opposite the famous Moot Hall. We were given a warm welcome and after several nights staying in hotels that rationed the milk and coffee, it was a real luxury to be presented with a full flask of fresh milk and a tray full of high quality tea, coffee and chocolate. These people really understand what a hospitality tray should look like.

After a very comfortable night's stay, we had the best breakfast of the week: hearty Lakeland sausages and bacon and fresh toast. The staff couldn't have been more helpful or friendly and as this was a business trip, it was a real boon to be able to get onto the WiFi so easily, so that we could check on email and get ahead of ourselves at the start of the day.

I would love to come back the Inn at Keswick on a holiday so that we can enjoy the Lakeland beers in the downstairs bar and explore the Keswick market. It would make a perfect place to stay for Christmas and New Year's Eve when the town centre comes alive. We'll definitely be making a return trip.

Room Tip: We were facing the front of the hotel, overlooking the market square and Moot Hall. We had a quiet n...

Some friends and I were visiting Keswick to watch a production at "the Theatre by the Lake" and having read the reviews, booked into the Inn at Keswick (formerly "Keswick Lodge"). We were lucky enough to get the last two rooms, and a quick email confirmed that the hotel was also "dog friendly".

Check in was swift and simple, the staff were helpful and friendly. There are two car parks nearby - and directions are offered from the hotel - it's about £7 for 24hours.

The rooms are cosy and modern with shampoo/shower gel provided, tea and coffee (and the staff will even give you a flask of milk) and biscuits. It can get a little stuffy, but the windows open and there is a fan provided...and given that we arrived on a very wet day, "better warm than cold" was our feeling!! The beds are also very comfortable, and Wi-fi is free, although can be intermittent.

Our furry friend (Jack Russel x chihuahua) was made to feel very welcome and she was also allowed in part of the dining area, which was lovely for breakfast and dinner. (There is a separate section where dogs are not allowed - which is fair enough!)

The meals we had there were also excellent (the ham in Keswick is absolutely outstanding). The pate melted in your mouth, and we tried a variety of the main meals and all were hearty, tasty, and great value for money. (If you don't want to eat in the hotel there is a "Greggs" just opposite and a wide range of places to eat in town, but we were really impressed with the food here, and would definitely choose to eat there again.)

A large choice of cooked meals was offered at breakfast (I loved the Eggs benedict), and there is a continental buffet as well. We had a friend join us who did not stay overnight, and he was also made very welcome.

The service is efficient, polite and friendly. The hotel is in a fantastic location - middle of the town centre - walking distance to the Theatre although that decision may be weather-dependent, there is a lovely park to walk dogs nearby, and the view of the hills is stunning on a clear day.

We were delighted with our stay and would heartily recommend the Inn as a place to sleep and/or eat, and would definitely stay there again ourselves.

Room Tip: Some of the lower rooms _may_ contend with creaky floorboards from the floors above, but this is a v...

Stayed here for 3 nights n November. The Inn is in the middle of Keswick and close to some good restaurants and pubs.

The room was clean and tidy but a bit on the small side. A good touch was the fresh milk presented each day in a flask,

We never ate in the restaurant in the evenings but breakfast was well cooked, well presented and set you up nicely for the rest of the day.

Only negative was that the Inn doesnt have a car park, so you have to either park in the public car park or on a side street about 5 minutes away. We were aware of this before we arrived as other reviewers had mentioned this.

Otherwise a nice place to stay and use to explore the Northern part of the Lake district.

I was sorry to hear our food didn’t live up to our usual very high standard on this occasion. Please consider us on your next visit to Keswick and we would be more than happy to restore your faith in us with a complimentary lunch.
