Been to Brookfield b & b a few times, wouldn't want to stay anywhere else. Ronnie is a perfect host, from his delicious breakfasts and spotlessly clean rooms, to the information he provides about walking in the surrounding area. Great advice on where to eat out in the evening, constant tea and coffee supply in rooms, and so comfortable its hard to get up in the morning. We were greeted on arrival with complimentary tea and coffee and a warm welcome from Ronnie, always there if you need advice. After just returning from a week long stay in Brookfield, we have already booked to go back again in a few months. Thank you Ronnie, look forward to our next stay. Emma, Ian and Aled xx

We couldn't have asked for a more friendly host; Ronnie provided us with a great amount of information about walks and routes, and some additional sound advice over which restaurants/pubs to try in the evening. The food, room and service was also great, with an almost instantaneous supply of tea and coffee as and when we needed it—just what you want! Ronnie went the extra mile and we certainly felt looked after. Would highly recommend to anyone.

P.S. The weather was also fantastic; perfect couple of days!

Arriving early on Wednesday morning we were greeted by Ronnie with a warm and very welcome smile. This was my third time to the Lakes made all the more enjoyable by the accommodation we received - the breakfast top notch, our room highly satisfying. We were provided with a host of information about Keswick and the surrounding area, which was extremely handy!! Then after walking around Derwent Water a trip to the Dog and Gun (as advised) topped of a brilliant day, thanks for the lift Ronnie! Hope to see you again in the future.

As a traveller from Hong Kong, this is my first visit to Lake District and the experience was very good despite the untimely cold weather.

Ronnie the Host was a thoughtful and caring man. He welcomed us with tea & biscuits and understood our plan & wishes before giving some very useful advice on what to do, where to go and which restaurant to dine at.

Ronnie was attentive and willing to help whenever we needed, his breakfast was tasty and the wide range of sauce provided can rarely be found elsewhere.

The room is clean and well-equipped. The bathroom is a bit small but still acceptable.

Would definitely recommend this to travellers who value sincerity of the Host and treasure the interaction with the Host. Ronnie knows the district well and no wonder I even found a poem in compliment to Ronnie by an ex-visitor.

First time stay in Dec 2012 and just returned from 2nd stay in March 2013. My partner and I have stayed in numerous dog friendly b and b's across the lakes but the welcome we received on our first visit made a lasting impression. Upon arrival Ronnie (owner) offered tea and coffee (and even biscuit for dog) and made us feel at home from the start. Little things like water bowl and dog towel at outside step just give the impression that care has been taken to make sure you have the perfect stay. Stayed in cosy double first time and larger Double/Twin/Family/Triple Room on second stay. Both rooms were nicely decorated with spotless en-suite area (shower only). Our favourite was the larger triple room which even had room for a ridiculously comfortable small settee with views over the adjacent rooftops to Cat Bells in the distance. Breakfast was ample and well cooked, perfect for setting you up for a long days walking. Within the B & B there are plenty walking books and guides and a nice information pack in the room for what’s on locally. Ronnie was on hand to give advice on this or any other matter and also just for a chat in passing. Overall, feel like we have found a little gem with an owner who genuinely makes you feel at home and would do anything to help you have a great stay. Can't wait to return.

This B&B is gorgeous and just minutes away from Keswick town; which has a great market. There is no shortage of walks anywhere around the Lake District. As a quad-terrace this B&B it is in a beautiful location.

The food here is excellent, rooms lovely and clean. Ronnie is a great host and can guarantee you will be not be disappointed.

ust book and I’m sure you will agree with all the other reviews this B&B is getting!
