If you are reading this and have still not decided on if the value for money aspect then maybe you can find some help in my plans.

1. set an price for holiday accommodation and sped no more than 40% of your total holiday spend on this
2. Set a day budget...food, activities..eat in lodge during day and go out every night for nice meal, budget £20 per person per day for food if you dont take anything, of course you can take your shopping in as many do or use the on site supermarket for fresh
activities depend on what you like but we find that we go to pool every day, parks and then pay for one activity per day for full group and 1/2 individual bigger activities during the holiday for each member of group

So for a family of 4 during a off peak break, expect 300-400 lodge price..( i just payed 500 but this is only week i have all year this year)
£80 per day food, £20 per day activities so all in you might only spend 700-800 and you will not this quality for anywhere near that elsewhere . with this plan you have room for extras if you throw a few more quid at it...
tips, fizzy pop is expensive and bad for us (laughing), so take your own water to nights out, off peak activities same some dosh..go swimming after tea as it is quieter

Room Tip: go for new style woodland lodge

Staff at Whinfell Forest couldn't have done more to make our four day break memorable and relaxing. Everyone we deal with was friendly and eager to be of assistance and service. A welcome change these days!!! We'll be back! Thank you.

Great place if you have kids. You can make it as cheap or as expensive as you want. We buy food off site and tend not to go out for dinner as it can be very expensive, you just need to be organised. This year we stayed in an original style executive lodge, if you can afford the newer style go with that. The original style executive lodges are in need of some tender loving care. On previous occasions I've stayed in the new style so my ratings are based on this.

This was our 2nd trip to Center Parcs & we weren't disappointed. Our party consisted of 4 adults & 2 children (ages 4 & 1), we stayed in a 3 bed woodland lodge. Never short of an activity we had a really excellent time. The wildlife on our doorstep was amazing & fascinated the kids. We also used the spa which was very good. We will certainly be coming back soon.

Our first visit to Centre Parcs. It's been an amazing break! We stayed in a lovely, modern studio apartment. There were lots of fun activities such as swimming (in the lovely warm water), archery, tree trekking, zip wires, badminton, table tennis etc. There was only two of us though so can imagine it'd be expensive with kids.

The Sports cafe food was fab and had BOGO most nights which we didn't expect offers like that in Centre Parcs.

Was a bit disappointed with The Pancake House, wasn't as tasty as expected and for the price!

It would have been nice to have pretty lights round the camp at night.

It's a shame the prices to stay seem so expensive for a week so we just stayed Mon-Fri and felt we lost out a lot of the day on Mon and Fri waiting to check in and having to check-out at 10am (it always feels the break is over when having to check-out even though you can stay on the camp for longer).

Overall we'd love to come back but need to always be prepared to pay the costs.

:)
