On arrival I went into the bar and registered there, but I felt a separate desk for the hotel would have been more appropriate. It was a beautifully decorated place and was very comfortable to stay in. The room was gorgeous, comfy double bed, cosy duvet, excellent en-suite shower and huge fluffy towels on a heated towel rail. I would have liked some handwash or soap to wash my hands with, that was the only thing missing. Super plasma tv mounted on the wall. The location is great for access number of locations but i found the traffic noise quite loud as the hotel is right in the centre of penrith although do live in the country so i am probably more sensitive to it. I also would have liked an information pack in the room, there was no details about the bar/restaurant, local places to eat/see, who to contact after the bar had shut if you had a problem. A little reassurance on where to park would also have been helpful. Breakfast times were not written anywhere i had to ask, great breakfast overall but no menu as to what they had, not asked what kind of egg i wanted with my full english, coffee was poor out of the machine. I feel that the staff could improve on their customer service a bit more. Being such a nice place i was worried that it was not full to the brim in August.

Central B&B, wouldn't describe as a hotel. Small but very clean and well decorated room. Beds very comfortable with lovely white linen. Good power shower with shower gel, shampoo and body lotion provided. Had a drink and served by very friendly bar staff. Paid £90 for last minute twin room. Breakfast was very good although tea and coffee out of a machine which seemed out of character and not great. Overall though a great experience and would recommend.

This place just wowed us the moment we walked through the door, you know you are somewhere special.
Fabulous food, stunning decor, amazing chairs and the staff are just brilliant, and all this aswell as a well stocked bar.
You would think you were in London not Penrith, with this fabulous place.
We could not praise the staff enough, thankyou for making our stay so magical.

Took family to theLounge Bar for an evening meal. 2 members from a party of 5 had dirty cutlery. No apology. Service was slow and at times non-existent. Asked if someone would give us a few minutes to decide on after dinner cocktailes. Unfortunately we are still waiting, so we paid the bill and left. Shame - nice surroundings but couln't recommend it.

Myself, my fiancé and our friend stayed in The Lounge's 3-bed apartment on our recent trip to Penrith for a friend's wedding and we cannot begin to praise it highly enough. The apartment was immaculate, beautifully decorated in a modern style but whilst still retaining the beautiful beams throughout. This glorious apartment had everything you could possibly need - including a kitchenette with fridge, dining table, sofa and satellite television. We took the double bedroom, while our friend chose one of the two twin rooms, our beds were soft and comfortable with lovely linen and pillows and we all had a cosy nights sleep and were sad to get up in the morning! However, once we were up, the most fabulous cooked breakfast awaited us...sausages and bacon which i assume had come from the wonderful Cranston's butchers a few doors down from the hotel, plus egg, beans, tomatoes and lashings of toast, we were also given lovely pots of tea and filter coffee. Perfect! - and the lovely lady who served us, as with the other members of staff we encountered, were warm, polite, and helpful.
I wouldn't hesitate to recommend The Lounge Hotel and Bar, this wonderful little gem on the edge of the Lakes is a joy to behold, and I only hope we can return to enjoy it again soon.
