I stayed overnight to break my journey home from a mountain bike holiday in Scotland. I had a lovely comfortable room with a great view of the beautiful surroundings. There was one of JoAnne's tasty homemade cakes waiting for me in the room and I had a really good sleep. The breakfast was first class and JoAnne is a great host. I definitely hope to return for a longer stay as I think Mosedale End Farm is the perfect base for mountain biking in the Lake District. JoAnne and her son ride themselves and can advise on the local trails.

Thanks for your review. We have bike storage & are lucky enough to have good access to the fells for Mountain biking & have local forest trails nearby. There`s nothing like the wind in your face on a down hill trail.

We stayed for 2 nights in the Grainery Suite. It was very cosy and had everything you could need. The breakfast was lovely and we took sandwiches that JoAnne had made, whilst we toured the local area. It is a good location with short or long walks and cycle routes nearby. JoAnne and Andrew are super hosts and were very welcoming. We will come back.

This was our second stay at Mosedale End Farm (it would have been our third stay, but it was fully booked on our previous trip). The Family room is simply furnished but clean and with comfortable beds and lovely views over the surrounding country. JoAnne prepares great breakfasts and has a wide range of items for picnics, so that shopping is not necessary. Freshly home baked cakes in the room are a welcome treat after walking. We hope to stay at Mosedale End again next year.

We had a lovely stay here. JoAnne is an excellent host and the family room was very comfortable. The extra touches made us feel very welcomed; the toys were well received by my children, as were the home baked cakes in the room. The children thought the tree swing was fantastic and enjoyed feeding the chickens. We are looking forward to returning. Highly recommended. We were also impressed by the food served in the local pub: the Millside Inn.

My partner Tony and I have just returned from a three night stay at "Mosedale End Farm". We were very comfortable and Joanne was the hostess with the mostest. The food was excellent . The extra touches of cakes in your room and the facilities to make up your packed lunches good business sense and appreciated. I even was taken back to my childhood and fed bread to the chickens. We thoroughly recommend this location as an ideal base for seeing the Lake District with information in the rooms and Joanne's personal knowledge making our planning very easy.

My family and I decided to find somewhere to stay the night before our Centre Parcs break started. We wanted to stay in Mosedale or nearby and went for this place because of the pics and reviews.

JoAnne was a lovely host and was very welcoming. The room was perfect for us all. Our young son was very happy, there a was a selection of toys for him to play with in the room. There was a good amount of teas and coffees. The room was very clean and comfy. The complementary cakes were very nice and we were also left with feed for the hens.

The breaksfast was very nice, porridge for the little man. The wife doesn't eat pork so beans on toast for her. I had a cooked breakfast and various other bits. Once again JoAnne couldn't be more accommodating.

Feeding the hens was enjoyable for our son and afterwards we got to go and see the lambs. Only stayed there for one night but it was really good to show our son some animals up close.

Would highly recommend this beautiful little farm to anyone wanting to stay in the area. We will definitely stay next time we go to the lake district.

We stayed in the area for the Keswick half marathon and a bike time trial. We stayed one night and just loved it. We will be back! Gorgeous views, stunning home, very quiet. Just the lambs bleeting. JoAnne was the perfect host. Amazing fresh eggs and homemade bread for breakfast. Wish we had been staying longer! I even stroked a lamb!

Room Tip: We had the Grainary room but they all looked fantastic.
