Lovely room, spotlessly clean and the bed so comfy. Fantastic views over Penrith, loved the toiletries too! Breakfast excellent and really set us up for another day on our bikes riding the C2C There was also safe storage for our bikes overnight.

The cake that Sarah baked was a Caraway Seed cake and it was delicious, and very welcome! Will be visiting Penrith in the future and will definitely come and stay again, we had a lovely stay.

My husband and I chose Bank House as it was within 3 minutes drive from our elderly Aunt, who we had come to visit in Penrith, but what a wonderful surprise to find such comfort, good food and excellent service from Sarah and Deano.
We were made to feel so welcome. As we had travelled from our home in Spain to spend our first night in such a comfortable bed was sheer bliss! The food was excellent, will book Bank House againon our next visit back to the UK.

Only stayed one night unfortunately but it was perfect - beautifully decorated room with quality furnishings and attention to detail (right down to quality toiletries, towels, etc.). Breakfast was delicious, cooked to order, and with a wide choice, served in another tastefully furnished room with wonderful views over Penrith. Really enjoyed the quality cereals provided and fresh fruit salad as well. Our hostess was friendly and very helpful. Thoroughly recommended. Keep a look out as you drive up the street as the sign is quite small and you may miss it on the first pass, as we did . Carole F,

I just spent a lovely 4 nights at Bank House in Penrith. The house is warm and cosy and the welcome friendly and laid back, the perfect place to come back to after a hard day's sight-seeing. The room was spotless and comfortable, breakfast was delicious, substantial and with a wide choice - I really loved the home-made bread - and there was always coffee and cake to come home to. Bank House is an easy walk into town, with its great choice of shops and restaurants. Very highly recommended. I'm coming back in June!

Room Tip: Bank House is small and intimate and all the rooms are nice.

If you find yourself needing somewhere comfortable and friendly on the fringe of the North Lakes then you won't need to look further than Bank House. And, most importantly, breakfast is spot on! It can be a little tricky to find if you're a bit careless with navigating but it's near enough to walk into town yet far enough for peace and quiet.

Room Tip: Room 1 has a splendid view over Penrith.

Excellent two night stay in Penrith. Despite a very cold weekend the room was cosy and warm. Returning from The Marmalade Festival to hot coffee and Chocolate Cake was such a bonus.

Beautifully cooked breakfast set us up for the day. The granola was delicious as was the bread. The hot breakfast choices were very good, the best we've had since our visit to Kenilworth over two years ago. Continental breakfast was quite a size; lovely ham and a selection of cheeses.

It is worth noting that the walk back from the centre of Penrith is uphill, Graham Street is rather steep, but no problem for us.

We had a superb evening meal in the Thai Cafe at the end of the Devonshire arcade; accesible from the back after the arcade closed for the night.
