We picked this after changing our minds about the pub at the top of the hill, and we were so glad we did. Unique menu offerings that were reasonably priced. Two or three course menus or a la carte. Our favourite eating spot during our visit.

Came across this restaurant during a stay in Windermere. The menu outside sounded delicious and reasonably priced so we went in to ask for a table. It seemed very popular and full but we managed to get a table at a later time that evening. Nicely decorated and very friendly staff we thoroughly enjoyed the meal and the food was cooked to a high standard and nicely presented. Would recommend this restaurant to everyone.

We changed our minds late on the day and managed to get a table at Francine's and it was a great decision. A nice atmosphere and a good selection of dishes made us feel immediately happy with our choice. We skipped the starters in favour of having dessert and our choices were the Lamb Shank and Seafood Casserole, both of which were superb. We assume we made good choices as the couple at the table next to us had exactly the same! Poached pear and Westmorland Pudding for afters we're also delicious. Service was very slow but this did not spoil a very nice meal. I would thoroughly recommend.

Had a fantastic evening meal here with my wife. Friendly staff and cosy interior with an amazing chef. All 3 courses from both the set menu and a la carte were very well presented and tasted awesome.

I went for dinner with my other half on Friday evening, and what a lovely dinner. Whilst the price was slightly more than I would have expected in the Lakes, it was nonetheless perfectly reasonable for the portion sizes and quality of food.

We shared a Mussel starter between 2 of us, which came in a lovely leek, garlic & saffron sauce. For mains, we had the Whiting and the Half-Lobster in a Thermidor Sauce. Including 2 soft drinks & a beer, it came to £41.

The service was good, and the ambience of the restaurant was lovely. Whilst small inside, the restaurant allowed for conversation, and was full and lively when we arrived. I would recommend it as a dinner sport for couples.
