A great way to see the local attractions in a short span of time. Elliot who drove us around was really warm and accommodating. He pointed out the points of interest, ensured we were comfortable and gave us enough time to absorb the beauty and the ambience.

Jane, the driver-guide, took us on an all-day ride about the stunning Lake District. Wow! very knowledgeable and confident driver, Jane shared her love of this beautiful part of the Earth. No need to go to the Canadian Rockies when you have these picturesque passes and pristine lakes --in the rain and fog. From 10am-5:30pm, we had an enjoyable thrilling tour.

Went on this with 3 other member of my family. Was brilliant and our driver Elliott was very informative and took his time with everything. I loved Sarah Nelsons gingerbread shop which I didn't even know was included on route and Elliott got us there before they closed. The slate mine was a nice treat as well as visiting ullswater and the boat trip in particular. Don't think about it just book it, its a fun day out.

In the second week of August, while on a short break, I took advantage of two tours, the Beatrix Potter with Hilltop farm, and the 10 lake Spectacular. They were both wonderful. I was astonished that I saw so much on each tour, and the drivers/tour guides were full of information, and so helpful. On Beatrix Potter we drove round the lake first, visited Hilltop, Hawkshead, The Tarns, and had a cruise on Coniston down to Brantwood, home of John Ruskin all in one afternoon. The 10 lake Spectacular, included the Kirkstone Pass, Castlerigg Stone Circle, Keswick, down to Borrowdale visiting Ashness Bridge and Surprise view (part of the route to Watendlath for lake District lovers), over the Honister Pass visiting the Slate mine. We wended our way home via Grasmere not stopping by common consent as by this time it was POURING, a very tired but happy small group. I shall never forget it. Thank you all of you at Mountain Goat. I am a local but a group of friends visited and decided to take a tour from Keswick,We had enough for full bus load so were able to make a slight change in the tour.We decided to leave out Muncaster Castle as most had seen birds of prey before and instead take a cruise on the steam yacht Gondala. It was a very full day with not a lot of spare time but stops were made at photo opportunities.
If you are in the Lakes and want a great day out I would recommend there were limited comfort and feeding stops but a lot to cover.
