From the moment we arrived we were made to feel very welcome by the reception staff(Nicky)she checked us in efficiently and with ease. When we saw our room we were amazed that we could get such a good standard of room at such a reasonable price, the restaurant service and the food excelled expectation.

An excellent time had here and would recommend the Windermere Hotel to anyone an excellent setting we upgraded to room 116 and had a stunning view across the lake and mountains. Food and service were of the highest quality and it was nice to have a good pint at the end of some long walking days even with the worlds tiredest legs i could still manage a walk to the bar.

Thank you for taking the time to comment on your stay – it was lovely to hear that you enjoyed your time with us and found the views from your room across the lake and mountains stunning. It is clear that that you also found the hotel a good base for the many walks in the area – I am so glad your tried legs got you to our Piano Bar to relax and you found the Food and Service a high quality. I hope you will come and visit us again.

Great hotel, wonderful location, excellent food but if you enjoy a glass of wine with your evening meal, this is really difficult to achieve on all-inclusive. This applies to 7.30pm to 10.30pm. However if you are unable to book your dinner for 7.45, which most guests couldn't, then you are unable to enjoy a glass of wine until after dinner. A lot of guests do not want to drink alcohol later. The queue & slowness of serving at the bar meant it was impossible to fetch a drink during dinner.
Could the management not device a solution to this?

Room Tip: Arrive early to book late dining time.

Dear Reviewer
Thank you for reviewing your All Inclusive holiday which you found the hotel in a wonderful location, and you enjoyed the Breakfasts and Dinners , as for the complimentary drinks every night from 7.30 to 10.30 , agreed you would have problem getting a free drink if you had a early dinner, this was mainly due to how extremely popular our All Inclusive holidays are – we are always introducing new value for money holidays at Coast and Country Hotels and for example our Inhouse Credit which allows you to use at anytime of the day so please get in contact with me if you need any further details.

Arrived at the hotel just as a coach pulled up outside. The receptionist and bar staff were very efficient, even though it was a very busy time for them. We were asked what time we would like to have our eveining meal. The meals were all Waiter Service which made a pleasant change from the normal self service buffet we have all grown use to. The food was of the highest quality with a good variety of choice each day.

On arrival the bedroom smelt fresh and clean. The room was not big but it had everything we could possible need, such as tea/coffee making facilities, hairdryer, TV etc

There was a piano bar which had a female singer to entertain on the Saturday night. There were also quieter corners where you could sit and talk.

The hotel is within walking distance to Bowness and the lake or for the more energetic a walk uphill to Orrest Head with it's lovey views.

A very enjoyable holiday and one I would recommend.

I am delighted that the staff you met throughout your stay delivered a high standard of service and what we pride ourselves on is our Waiter service for Breakfast, and you also found the Dinner menu had good variety of choice and cooked to a high quality.
I glad you went up to the best view point of Windermere Lake Orrest Head and visiting our neighbouring village Bowness on Windermere and retuning to relax in our Piano Bar.

We have just returned from a lovely 3 night break in Windermere.the service was excellent ,the staff friendly and the food was excellent. The only thing that I could comment on in a negative way is the fact that I had to constantly sign for any extras even in the middle of the evening meal.Thankfully the barman was not on duty on the saturday or sunday (I think him and I may have fallen out had he been there). Over all the long weekend was excellent value for money and I would highly recommend this hotel.

Dear Reviewer

I’m so pleased you would highly recommend the Windermere Hotel and yes our 3 night winter weekend breaks which include Dinner, Bed & Breakfast, are great value for money, this winter prices start at £109.00 per person per break.
The friendly service and excellent food is always what Coast and Country Hotels aims to achieve so ensure you come back this winter no signature required.
