Booked a night for a weekend away. We'd never been to the lake district so the fact that Langdale Chase hotel sat right on the waters edge was incredible. The hotel itself is showing signs of age but the team have tried to keep it going without changing it too much. They have done a great job and I'd recommend staying to anyone.

Wow what can we say, the moment we saw the hotel during one of there wedding fayres we just knew it was the venue for us and boy what a venue. We booked the hotel exclusively between 28th December and the 30th December with our guest travelling up from South Yorkshire and needless to say they were not left disappointed. The staff at the hotel were excellent and true professionals, nothing was too much trouble even tho we basically took over the hotel for what felt like a massive house party with our family and closest friends. Special thanks to Ben and Andrew for there attentiveness throughout our stay and particularly for Andrew who made me feel at ease as I set off on my walk down the staircase to meet Paul. As my headline says a truly magical weekend, leaving us and our guests blown away, many of whom had never visited the Lake District before, however I'm sure they will be returning. Look forward to returning for our anniversary xxxxxx

We have just had our Wedding ceremony and reception at the Langdale Chase and it was the most perfect day thanks to Andrew and his staff. When I walked into the hall what I saw took my breath away, it looked stunning. The Christmas tree sat proud in the corner donned with baubles and lights and the decorations around the fire and on the staircase really made the room look festive. The chairs were set out for the wedding and already my nerves began to settle as I knew this was going to be a magical wedding. Our ceremony was so lovely and a memory we will have forever. We then had canapés in the piano room and the staff were so so friendly and happy and nothing was too much trouble. I have a gluten intolerance and Andrew had organised Gluten Free canapés for me which were delicious. I must mention Albert at this point who looked after us after Andrew finished his shift. He was great and made sure everything was running smoothly. We sat for our meal at 6pm and service started immediately...wow, what a beautiful meal. I do not know the Chef's name and we did not get chance to thank him personally but everyone stressed how fantastic the food was. It really was special in every way. We retired to the Piano room after service to let our dinner settle then returned to the Oak room at 9pm where 2 Casino tables had been set up by Fun Casino recommended by the Hotel. We all had a good gamble and a giggle and everyone there got to know each other. It was such a friendly atmosphere. Fantastic night. The guys who run the casino were really friendly and good fun. I would highly recommend them. At the end of the night we all had a night cap and retired to our rooms. Oh the rooms...beautiful, we had the most stunning view..not at night of course! But a beautiful sight to wake up to. A really good sized room, clean and warm. After a good nights sleep we went down to breakfast and met with our guests. A great selection of food to choose from and again gluten free accommodating. We checked out and Andrew was there to ask us how our day had gone and help us collect our things...Thanks Andrew, nothing seemed too much, not even the few hiccups that occurred on the day. So thanks to you, Albert and all your staff for making our day so special. We will be back next year to celebrate our anniversary. A perfect venue for a perfect wedding x

Room Tip: Room 26 has great views.

There is nothing too much trouble here at Langdale Chase,
We are here for our 5th visit and as usual the service is impeccable. This stay is as usual for my birthday & our wedding anniversary, two days apart. There is nothing too much for them to provide, we had dinner last night in the small dinning room & had the most wonderful experience including our desserts being served with their congratulations piped in chocolate around the sides of the plates- wicked or what. We just love this place.

Me and my husband stayed here as a belated wedding anniversay and were upgraded to a deluxe double room which was lovely. The bed was huge!
The location of the hotel, situated on Lake Windermere is too good to be true. We could see the lake and the snow-capped mountains from our window. They didn't look real somehow. it was like a winter wonderland; magical.
We chose from the bar food menu rather than the restaurant menu but the food was still to a high standard and didn't disappoint.
The staff were so friendly and showed their willingness to please the guests.
Overall a fantastic stay, would definately stay here again. Thank you.
