Me and my friends stayed there for 2 nights. During this stay we've met 3 members of staff. A male member of staff greeted us upon arrival. He was very friendly and offered us an early breakfast the next day as we have planned some activities that required an early start. The other two members of staff were female, one older than the other. The older lady was very friendly and helpful, although she couldn't put our snacks in her fridge she offered to put our ice packs in her freezer what helped to keep our snacks cool and fresh. For the younger lady some simple things seemed like too much trouble. For example when we asked for our ice packs back, she made us wait whilst carrying on with her tasks (the other lady gave it to us straight away, it took just seconds as they were in the preparation room on the same floor). When we asked if we could check out, the younger lady said that it is not the best time as they are still serving breakfast to other guests. Again we had some activities booked and really needed to leave then. The male member of staff checked us out with no problem whatsoever so we didn't really understand why to the other lady everything seemed so difficult.
I would like to also mention that the 1 hour breakfast slot could've been widened. We found it to be too late for us to have breakfast at 8:30 due to pre-planned activities but having read other reviews it seems that for some guests 9:30 was still too early so maybe 7:30-10:00 would've been more suitable for most although I understand that it may be difficult due to the size of the business.
Overall we had a nice time whilst saying there but thought that the consistency in customer service could be improved. Hope this will not be taken personally but as a tip towards the improvement.

We would like to thank you for taking the time to write a review of your recent stay at Beaumont House and are pleased that you enjoyed your stay here.
We apologise if you found a staff member lacking in certain aspects of customer relations and we will arrange for some in-house customer service training to ensure that we are consistent in our approaches to guest requests. The member of staff in question, who is our Head Housekeeper, was helping during breakfast service, due to being short staffed. Unfortunately she is not trained in the administrative duties for the office and is unable to check guests out.
Due to health and safety restrictions we are unable to store food or drink items, purchased by guests in the kitchen refrigerators, but we are however willing to place ice packs in our freezer subject to available space.
Over the years we have trialed earlier and later breakfasts but found that the majority of our guests prefer breakfast between the hours of 08.30 and 09.30. We appreciate that some guests would prefer an earlier breakfast due to having activities planned and we are more than happy to accommodate this, if given advance notice. Unfortunately as a small guest accommodation the constraints of the business do not allow us to extend breakfast times beyond 09:30 as quite often guests are not leaving the dining room until after 10:15 a.m.

My husband and I have just spent 2 nights at the Beaumont, and loved it! The room was very spacious, and even though we were expecting a four poster bed, the replacement was massive and comfortable. The bathroom is fantastic (large shower, under floor heating and a mirror that has an area that doesn't mist up...), and the breakfast is excellent. The hotel is 2 minutes from the centre of Windermere, and is a friendly and very clean hotel. Denise and the team do all they can to ensure you have a lovely stay! Highly recommended.

Thank you for writing such an excellent review about your recent stay at Beaumont House. We apologise for the disappointment of not having a four poster bed but are glad that our 6' wide sleigh bed made up for that. We have now amended our descriptions to Superior Double Room instead of Four Poster Rooms. Room 3 has been extremely popular with our guests and we have a large number of returning guests who specify that room on booking.

We look forward to meeting you again when you visit The Lake District.

Do not need to write much about Beaumont House, the welcome, the house, the room, the bathroom, the breakfast (especially the breakfast) simply top notch. Don't think there is anything else you need to know other than Denise and team have earned those stars on the door!

Room Tip: We found room 3 perfect, lovely size, huge bathroom and everything worked!

Thank you for your excellent concise review - your comments are very much appreciated. Room 3 has been an extremely popular room with many return bookings. We have now changed the king size four poster bed for a Superking 6' wide sleigh bed and this looks like being even more popular.

Just got back after a 2 night stay with my partner. I really enjoyed our stay at the Beaumont. The hotel was spotless and served excellent breakfast. Denise was very welcoming when we arrived and the lady that served breakfast was very friendly overall a great weekend away.

just got back from beaumont house on easter monday can,t think of enough good things to say as it is that good .we were were looked after by denise and her staff brilliantly lovely clean room which had everything you would need for 3 days away. the breakfast every day was plentiful and varied the location was great 3 mins to windermere .my wife and myself will definitely come back to this guesthouse take no notice of the 2 negative reviews on here 1which was written by a couple of freeloaders who wanted something for nothing and the other from a 5 star snob if all this person has to worry about is whether he gets his tea in a coffee cup or a china mug he,s doing alright

This is a lovely hotel, in an old building. It does not have all the facilities of a modern chain hotel, but it is friendly, warm, clean, comfortable and gives you a decent breakfast in the morning. The lady who runs it will ask you what you think and seems to care. I would recommend it for all the above, plus the excellent location.

The room was beautiful and clean, very comfy bed and staff incredibly helpful and friendly - would definitely stay here again on my next visit to the lakes (if anything just for the wonderful cooked breakfast and marvellous pot of tea!) :)
