We stayed for three nights, bed and breakfast in the "Bowness" room which was was spacious, well furnished and well decorated. Everything was spotlessly clean. The breakfasts had good choice and the cooked option was excellent. The setting was beautiful and the service was first class. We had a meal in the restaurant on one evening and the food was delicious and well presented. Would definitely return.

We have had a lovely relaxing stay here this week. The quality of the service, facilities and atmosphere are fabulous.

The bed was one of the most comfortable I've ever known in a hotel and the peace and quiet in the morning was just what we needed. Myself and my husband enjoyed our stay immensely, we would recommend it to anyone.

We just left Cedar Manor and had such a lovely time. My husband is currently recovering from back surgery and has a walker. Jonathan and his staff made sure we were very well taken care of and my husband safe. The dinner is a beautiful experience with very high quality dishes. We especially loved spending time in the gorgeous lounge reading and relaxing. We look forward to returning! Thank you so much for making this such a treat for us and a wonderful early birthday present for me.

We had a lovely two night stay at Cedar Manor. The Hotel has beautiful décor, is very clean and is in a good position. We walked to Bowness, which is about a mile down the road. We decided to eat out in the evenings, as we like to try different places and liked the walk out, but the dinner menu looked very nice and the other guests said the food was excellent. The bar is also a lovely relaxing area to finish your evening off.

We stayed in Cedar Manor for a short break and had a really lovely time. The staff were friendly, and very welcoming. Our room was very well furnished and the bed very comfortable. We ate in the restaurant on one evening and could not have eaten a better meal. Everything was delicious and my dessert was a work of art. Would definitely go back.

Having just got married the weekend before we decided to push the boat out for a few nights in the Lakes before our main honeymoon in February next year. We could not have picked a better location and decided to push the boat out even further by booking the Coach House Suite. Everything that we encountered with the hotel was of the highest quality the decorations, the food and the staff and owners were all fantastic. We were greeted by Jonathan with what became obvious as a genuine warmth, friendliness and dedication to making sure your stay is the best they can make it.
This was all before we'd even seen our suite. Not being accustomed to staying in hotels at this end of the luxury spectrum I don't have a lot to draw comparison against but it was spectacular and sheer bliss. We treated ourselves with dinner served in the suite on one of the evenings and the food was simply divine and the service perfect; friendly without being intrusive. We particularly liked the availability of breakfast being available in the suite at no extra cost. Being slow to get up and ready in the morning it was nice to be able to enjoy a leisurely breakfast in our dressing gowns.
Jonathan recommended a lovely, but somewhat strenuous, walk for us but sadly the one thing he couldn't arrange was for the mist to lift for the views to be enjoyed.
Jonathan and Caroline have achieved a most wonderful hotel in a stunning location and I would happily recommend it to anyone.

Room Tip: If your budget stretches to it book the Coach House Suite - you will not regret it and nor will you...

Thank you very much for taking the time to review your recent Mini-Moon at Cedar Manor. What a great choice taking the Coach House, ideal for a relaxing wind-down after busy wedding celebrations.
We are really pleased that you enjoyed dinner and breakfast in the Suite and had a good look around the Lakes. We can arrange walks from short strolls to full on mountain experiences.
We hope to see you again in the not too distant future, perhaps an anniversary stay?

We have stayed in many hotels over the years but nothing comes close to this fine hotel, some hotels claim they are 5 star with hundreds of rooms on offer but what they can't offer is that personal touch! The warm genuine welcome as you arrive and the attention to detail in every way. this is the trouble with the big brand hotels today which are almost tesco like, the couple who own and run this fine manor house know what people want and they certainly do deliver with that personal touch and top class customer service from the well kept grounds to the rooms and breakfast. The staff at this hotel work very hard and are so pleasant with big genuine smiles! Anyone who is thinking of opening a hotel should take a short stay here to see how a business is run!

Room Tip: We were in the coniston suite with cracking views and a bathroom my wife is begging me to copy at h...
