very popular walk with locals and tourist mainly flat so good for families and elderly alike but also the views are fantastic for couples to enjoy, the path is great for mountain bikers, at the top of the path both rydal and grasmere lakes can be seen,the walk can be extended to take in the coffin trail or more energetic walkers can venture to the top of loughrigg.good walk any time of the year the colours in september , october breathtaking

Not a very hard walk with great views over the lake. Make sure you take the top track up to the cave great sight to see.The walk around the lake should only take a couple of hours at a leisurely pace.

Had a fantastic walk here. Pretty scenery. The bluebells were abundant, looking beautiful and smelling divine. Make the effort to walk up to the cave, it's breathtaking.
