Viewed Rydal water many times, from the car, on the loop walk for Grasmere, on the decent from Loughrigg and Fairfield Horseshoe to mention a few! Each time it looks wonderful! The easy lakeside walk is pleasant and a look in the cave is always well worth a visit.
What a great walk around the lake and up Rydal Mount to the cave at the top. Our dogs loved running about along the lakeside and meeting other dogs along the way.
The weather wasn't brilliant but we didn't let it spoil the walk
This is my favourite place and I try to visit every year. Just a lovely tranquil place with stunning views. The snow topped mountains were breathtaking today. We walked from the park in Ambleside which is a fantastic stroll - not too taxing!
Great low level walk around the Lake from Ambleside to Grasmere or even by parking at the car parks off the main road. Calm and beautiful views, ideal for a family stroll to see the wildlife around the Lake or for a longer walk to include Grasmere too.
