We stayed here for one night in The Bothay which is at the side of the hotel in a seperate building. The Bothay has it's own conservatory, which was lovely as it is quite private and the view magnificent across the lake. The outside attached terrace is also your own and lovely to sit out on and have a glass of fizz.. The bathroom was quirky with the Winston Chrchill bathtub, but we really enjoyed it - beware your hair ladies if using the shower - you will need a shower cap ( one provided in toiletries) - . Talking of these, you are given loads of Ren products which were lovely to use. Staff were all nice and we enjoyed the restaurant on the night time. It was very quiet at first when we went over, but once other guests arrived and the background music was put on the atmosphere was lovely. The staff were very attentive and explained all of the dishes - no the portions are not huge but the quality is there and we found the 3 courses along with the bread enough. We did book the private hot tub and this was amazing as the sun was out and the views pefect and romantic. Throw some fizz in again and we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. It is not cheap but it is a lovely experience and very personal - I loved itMore
