St Johns boasts something that, for us, could make or break a weekend away -
welcoming and friendly staff who are eager to make sure your stay is as comfortable as possible! So firstly, thank you! The team go out of there way to make sure you have everything you need to complete your break away. Lots of helpful local knowledge allowed us to make the most of our stay. The perfect location gives you flexibility to tour around Bowness and Windermere, and if you have a car your options are endless, however bus day tickets are readily available. Plenty of breakfast options to suit your needs and your stomach, high spec bedrooms and great value for money! We will definitely be returning, adding a few extra days to get in a gym and spa visit. If you are planning to visit St John's you won't be disappointed.

The room was immaculately clean, and the owners could not have done anymore for us than they did. It was a very personable experience and it was lovely that the owners knew your name and stopped for a chat to make sure you were okay. The breakfast options were vast and absolutely delightful. In the room there is a welcome pack, which was unbelievably helpful. We ate from two restaurants as advised in the pack and we were not at all disappointed. The lodge is in a wonderful location with only a 10-15 minute walk to both Bowness and Windemere. I would definitely recommend!

Myself and my girlfriend stayed at At Johns Lodge for 3 nights, it was the perfect place as a base to explore the lakes.
Richard and all the staff are lovely and nothing was too much trouble for them.
We would happily stay here again.
