Really good clean place, our room was faultless. Big comfortable bed, modern smart tv, fridge, power shower everything was top quality! The breakfast was really good too and there was a good choice of meals. Lounge had an honesty bar with a range of drinks, you felt very welcome and it was in a perfect location between Bowness and Windermere. We will defiantly be back for longer next year!
Me and my girlfriend stayed here for 2 nights. We were lucky enough to get upgraded to a larger room for no extra cost and were totally blown away by it. It was immaculate. Lisa and Kerri who work in the breakfast area were lovely, very chatty polite and helpful if you needed advice on what to do for the day. I’m not surprised they have won awards for their breakfasts because they were phenomenal. This is the 2nd time we have stayed here and will definitely be making a 3rd trip in the future. Thank you everyone at St. John’s lodge for making our short break special.
Had a lovely stay here. Room was lovely, but what did make the difference is the staff. Richard the owner was very helpful showing us everywhere to go in Windermere. Lisa and Kerri so friendly and attentive. All came to say goodbye when we left. One of the best breakfasts we have ever had and we are fussy.
Thanks to Lisa and Rich for a lovely stay. Lisa at breakfast was full of great advice of where to go and what to do. Breakfast was freshly made and everything was delicious. I intend to bring my parents back again next year. Location is excellent as it falls right in the middle of two seperate restaurant/shops trail.
Spent 4 days at St John's and had a great stay. Nothing was too much trouble for Rich and the rest of the team. The room was clean and comfortable. The breakfasts were amazing. Ideal if you are looking to spend time in and around Windermere or for exploring further afield. About a 10 minute walk into Bowness with plenty of things to do and places to eat.
