Just returned from a visit to the applegarth hotel and was extremely impressed ! After booking a last minute night away we were greeted by a very welcoming man on the reception, the checking in was probably the quickest I've had and we were shown to our room straight away! We decided to treat ourselves to the great how suite which I'm so glad we did. It had the wow factor right from the start ! It had a private entrance and we were showed how to use the hot tub and our very own coffee machine as well as the electronic curtains and the mood lightening which we thought was a fantastic touch!
We loved the room it was set on two floors and was very spacious and the hot tub was very large and we had the advantage of two balconies with lovely views.
The spa bath was amazing and even had our own television in ! There was lots of complimentary things which made the night feel extra special robes, slippers and towels were provided as well as fresh milk, chocolates and an umbrella which unfortunately we had to use due to the weather !
We loved the room that much we decided to extend our trip for one more night which we certainly did not regret! The hotel bar and restaurant was lovely and we ate breakfast which was delicious!
The location was fantastic right in the centre of Windermere with a very short walk to pubs and restaurants as well as boutique shops and a co operative !
Every part of our trip felt luxurious and special so thankyou very much from Ricky and Danielle we will certainly be returning !
