What a Fantastic Hotel from Check in through to Check out we found everything great.
The Food in the Restaurant was First Class and the Staff were brilliant they could not do enough for us to make our stay perfect.
Our rooms were Large with a Huge Bed and we had a great nights sleep.
we would recommend the Low Wood Bay to everyone.
Dont miss out we are that easily pleased but this hotel is great.

My Husband and I stayed here for a bit of us time in November, everything was as expected in a 4* hotel, lovely decor and ambience and professional staff. The food in the restaurant was of a very high standard, my only critism would be - there was a light bulb out in the restaurant (attention to detail) and also I would not expect caferteria style table numbers in a 4* restaurant (your waiting on staff should memorise the table layout). The leisure facilities were of an excellent standard and we most thouroughly enjoyed our stay with you and are looking to come again in january.

Room Tip: if you are looking for a relaxing getaway, this is a MUST.

Had the salmon (not something id normally have) however it was lovely!! Rooms were small but clean and did the job!! Swimming pool was lovely too. Breakfast was nice. We stayed at this hotel on the 4th and 5th November, we had upgraded to a lake front room and the view was fabulous. We arrived a little early but were able to check in immediately and when we got to the room it was huge. The bed was enormous and extremely comfortable. We ate in the bar that night and although orders had to be placed by 8.00 pm and it was slightly later than that it was no problem and the food was very good, a little bit expensive but worth it. Overall it was a thoroughly relaxing stay and we will be back.

Room Tip: It is worth upgrading to a lake view room as the view is spectacular.

We stayed at this hotel on the 29th and 30th of October 2012. Booking was easy and booking in at reception was easy too. We were a little early to be given the key to the room, as the room was only ready at 3pm, but we knew this and so went for a walk into Ambleside. The room was great, had everything we needed. It was very clean and tidy. A few tiny cobwebs were missed during cleaning though over the top of the pelmets, but I left a note accordingly. The bathroom was large and took a while to warm up, but the shower made up for it as it was lovely and warm. We found that the floor would get extremely wet, and worked out that the shower curtain didn't go right round the roll top bath, and so water splashed out cause a puddle.

We went into the hotel restaurant on the Monday night, and cannot fault the food. It was delicious and the waiters was very attentive. The room itself had lovely decor and later we moved into the lounge area. Unfortunately the bar in the lounge area was closed, but the waiter was able to get drinks it they were required.

Breakfast was lovely, with great choice. Hot cooked breakfast or cereals, yogurts and fruit, cold meats, muffins, porridge, you could also order kippers or salmon at an extra cost.

The highlight for us was the leisure centre. We loved the jacuzzi but the main delight for us was the hot tub, which you had to just nip just out side of the leisure centre to get to, but it was only a few steps, once in it, it was fantastic, and you could see the sun going down over the lake.
All in all we really enjoyed the stay and on checking out were given a 10% discount for a return visit. I would definately stay here again I thoroughly enjoyed it.

Room Tip: we were in room 418, it was large, and quiet, we had undisturbed sleep.
