We arrived late to a very warm welcome. We had room 3 with the four poster, what a lovely comfortable and relaxing room.
Breakfast has lots of choice with fruit, gorgeous jams and cooked breakfast, there is a specials board as well. It's a very relaxed friendly environment.
The owners are lovely and helpful.
It is only a few minutes walk into Windermere and there is easy parking.
We go to the Lakes a lot and this will definitely be visited regularly.

I stayed in the Laurel Cottage B&B with my friends and family for 1 night. We stayed in three rooms. The rooms are warm, cosy and full of facilities. We enjoyed our stay very much. It's such an enjoyable experience to stay warm and cosy during the raining season in Lake District. The breakfast is also great with plenty of choices and daily special. We have the marcle and poached egg as our breakfast. I have ti say that it's the best poacjed egg that I have ever had. Also, the home made banana case is also the best ever. I had an extra slice when I checked out.... Such wonderful experience. I will definitely come back again. Thank you so much!

The title of the review says it all. Lovely B & B, great breakfast, the beds are lovely and comfortable, spacious rooms and lovely views (room 2). The owners are currently re decorating this room and it was lovely as it was. Thanks for a lovely stay and hope to book again in the near future.

P.s, the best poached eggs I've tasted!

It is impossible to find anything negative to say about lovely Laurel Cottage apart from the feeling of dismay at having to leave it. Alison and Wayne welcome you like old friends and make you feel completely at home as soon as you walk through the door. Room 5 at the top is spacious and has a lovely view over the park while the window in the bathroom (with locally-sourced, eco-friendly Pure Lakes products - brilliant touch) allows the soothing sound of the gushing stream adjacent to the house to calm your senses and relax your mind. The room also has a fabulous new bed so you can snuggle down and drift off in supreme comfort. Breakfast is quite something: perfectly poached eggs, delicious fresh fruit, local preserves, Alison's homemade cake (wow, wow, WOW!) and the pièce de resistance.....Alison's utterly sensational vegetarian sausages (don't even think about asking for the recipe - it's a state secret!) Put it this way, I don't think Wayne will be divorcing her anytime soon! If you are looking for a clean, comfortable, friendly, welcoming oasis of TLC in a charming street close to the centre of the village, this is it. And if you are thinking of running a B&B yourself, go and stay here for the weekend first just to see how to do it properly. This kind of faultless service and attention to customer care puts many a hotel, guest house and B&B to shame. First class in every way and a superb example to visitors of the very best of British hospitality. I can't wait to to return. A++++++++
