We received such a friendly welcome from Ken and Cindy and were made to feel completely at home, even after arriving very late. They couldn't have been more helpful and knowledgeable about the area. Our room was quiet, comfortable and full of charm. The breakfast was also great with lots of choice, good sausages (always a deal breaker for me) and a nice environment. Ken even went to the efforts of carrying my bags as I had injured my arm. Excellent place and I'll be recommending it.

Lovely rooms... beautifully decorated with some nice extra touches....beautiful breakfast which starts your day off well... with lots of choice too, all freshly home cooked...... Ideally located 10 minutes walk to the town and 10 minutes walk to the lake. Friendly hotel. Thank you Ken and Cindy. Xx

This is a wonderful little B&B very close to both Windermere, and Bowness. Ken was very friendly and made us feel very welcome.
We had a great first night and the breakfast Ken provided was SUPERB!

Only downside is that the walls are very thin. Our second night there were guests in the room next to ours who decided to have a bath around midnight and it sounded like they were bathing in our room!

But other than that, it was a lovely stay, with very easy parking, and would definitely stay again if we managed to get back down that way!

(Also Mr. Ted in room 6 is the most amazing teddy in the world, and if anyone can bust him free and bring him to live with us we would be most obliged.)

Our second visit to this excellent B&B

Denehurst is a period house with beautifully presented bedrooms, all different and all en-suite. We were provided with luxurious bath robes and even a teddy bear to keep us company at night. There is a pleasant lounge to use in the evening, well stocked with books and DVDs. We enjoyed the full English breakfast.

The location is convenient - just ten minutes walk down the hill to all the facilities, attractions and restaurants of Bowness in Windermere. Alternatively, it is ten minutes walk up the hill into Windermere village with its many shops and eateries.

Best of all is the warm and friendly welcome from Cindy and Ken

Rooms are tastefully decorated & v comfy. Great location, right slam bang in the middle of Windermere & Bowness. Go for it!!
