Without hesitation, 5/5 is the score for this beautiful establishment, not only the stunning area, the classic country style, the character of the building, but also the superb food and the fantastic service by all the staff.
You pay for what you get and here, you get top class.

This hotel is beautiful!

Rooms are lovely. Large. Ensuite bathroom, with shower and bathroom.

Lovely restaurant for breakfast. All made fresh.

Staff were fantastic.

Lovely sitting rooms for afternoon cream tea. With roaring fire.

Location 5 min drive from Windermere, 10 mins from Bowness. Right on the lake! The grounds go down to the lake. Fantastic photo opportunities.

Whole place is stunning.

Had a fantastic time at the cragwood country house. Staff are extremely friendly and helpful. The house and grounds are beautiful, we had a slight problem with the shower which was very quickly dealt with and we got complimentary prosecco and breakfast for the trouble. Would definitely stay here again very nice and cosey.

We have just come back from Cragwood country house after getting married there, and it was amazing! We did the "just the 2 of us" package, so no guests and very intimate. The staff were all fantastic and made it everything we hoped it would be - one of our witnesses even cried in the ceremony! The food was to die for, room was huge with dual aspect views over the Lake, and of course the setting was just perfect - they even managed to order the sun to shine on the 1st of February! Whether you are looking for somewhere to get married, or just want to stay in a beautiful and relaxed hotel to explore the Lake District I would recommend this to anyone - when we next go (and we will!) we will probably take our dogs too as it is dog friendly!

We have just visited the Cragwood Country House Hotel for a romantic weekend couple of weeks ago and have nothing but praise for the quality of accommodation, food and service. Food is excellent. Breakfasts are generous and very good. Thank you.
