Having just returned from a 2 night stay, myself & andy agree that this was an amazing break away. From the moment we arrived we were made to feel very welcome and our room was bigger & better than expected with the most comfortable bed. Steve & vicky were the perfect hosts and nothing was to much trouble and always helpful. In a great location with plenty to do but the best part of the stay was definately vicky's breakfast's :) would highly recommend invergarry guesthouse to anyone and will certainly be going back, thanks for everything steve & vicky x

Thank you Julie & Andy for your kind words. It was sad to see you go on Thursday as you were our final guests of the season, and it was so nice to end on a high with such lovely people. We really hope that we get to see you again next year. We are always here as your "get away from it all" place. Take care & many thanks Vicky & Steve

Dear Heather & James, Thank you for taking the time to write such a lovely review of us on Tripadvisor. It means a great deal to us that you had a good time and would return to us one day. Hopefully the next time the weather will be better and if not there are lots of other cakes to try :)

We read the reviews before booking and they are true to their word. We really enjoyed our stay, Steve and Vicky are so welcoming and the little touches they add to the room such as home made cakes and cork screw make all the difference. We bought several jars of their home made jams and marmalade, we couldn't resist, as well as some of Steves fantastic prints of the lake. Everything was spot on and we are looking forward to our next visit. Thank you Steve and Vicky, Karen & Ian

We have just returned from staying at the Invergarry Guest house and couldn't have asked for a better place to stay. Steve and Vicky were very welcoming, our room was wonderful and the breakfasts were brilliant and home made cake in the room everyday was a lovely treat. The location was brilliant, within easy walking distance of all the shops and pubs and we will definitely be returning and will recommend it to anyone that wants to visit.

Room Tip: all rooms are double and if your lucky, there is a garden room too.

We spent the weekend at Invergarry Guesthouse and are very happy with our stay. A great feeling to be in a house which is over a hundred years old. And it is indeed very well maintained. The hosts are excellent and they went out of their way to make sure that all our needs were taken care of. The location is also very convenient being in between Windermere city centre and Bowness on Windermere. Surely a place we recommend.

This was the last stop on our Scottish/Lake District holiday.

The Invergarry Guest House is located between Windermere and Bowness, just off the main road.

We had the pleasure of staying in the 'Garden Room' which was just lovely having a big bedroom that was furnished to a very high standard, clean and well maintained bathroom and front sitting room with table, chairs and ample room for our Greyhound.

The owners Steve and Victoria were lovely, being very helpful and leaving us to enjoy our experience. Although we enjoyed having breakfast with our fellow guests at other locations, it was nice to be able to sit with our Greyhound and enjoy breakfast together. We had the full 'Cumbrian Cooked Breakfast' that was simply delicious with home made jam and marmalade. Steve and Victoria also left us a piece of home made ginger cake when we first arrived which was a lovely touch.

We had a very enjoyable meal at the Royal Oak in Bowness which is dog friendly and is about half a mile away.

I'm sure this won't be our last visit.

After reading the many good reviews on trip advisor, we decided to book invergarry guest house, we were not disappointed with our choice. Steve and Vicky were excellent hosts and made us feel very welcome from the first day, the breakfasts were top notch and the home made cake left in the room every day was a lovely touch. Steve and Vicky were also very helpful in giving good advise on places to visit, and good walks, would recommend and would stay again on revisiting the lakes area. Gary and Alison.
