This is the best guest house we have ever stayed in. Very clean, even on the second day the room was cleaned to perfection. The homemade lemon cupcakes are amazing as are the homemade ginger biscuits. Perfect breakfast and loads of choice, I liked that everything was cooked to order. We will be back, thank you xxx

Room Tip: We liked our top floor room, great view over town.

Dear Molly & James,
Thank you for taking the time to write us such a lovely review. We are really pleased that you enjoyed your stay so much. Vicky was pleased that the first attempt at the lemon cupcakes were a success and the homemade biscuits are also something we have added to the homemade range this season.
We look forward to seeing you again in the July. Best wishes
Steve & Vicky x

What a lovely guest house this is!

We visited for two nights for our first wedding anniversary. We were definitely pleased with our decision.

Steve and Vicky were very welcoming. Upon arrival , we were shown to our room on the first floor at the front of the house. It was roomy and cozy. We had been left a lovely slice of homemade cake and biscuits as well as a card wishing us a happy anniversary, with a lovely white chocolate treat too.

Everything was brilliant the rooms were clean, and the decorations throughout the hotel were great, with Steve's photos hanging on canvases on the wall.

Breakfast was beautiful with a good selection of help-yourself cereals, juice, fruit and yoghurt etc and a decent sized menu of cooked food was offered too.

Steve was very knowledgable about the area and helped us out when deciding where to go.

We loved our two nights there and would fully recommend it to everyone.

Sorry it has taken so long to write this review. Excellent guest house. Really good location for Bowness & Windermere. You could walk everywhere. The house was very clean and comfortable. It had everything you could need and more. Including weather forecasts, homemade cakes, walking guides, use of mini fridge, hair dryers, sewing kits, tea & coffee making in your room. Breakfast was made to order freshly each moring and had a really good menu. However the best part is the the hosts who know their area and seem to love looking after their guests. Please stay you will not find a better home from home.

Room Tip: Garden room extra special

Really good stay here this October. After a trip around the UK this was the best place we stayed in. We had a look around all the rooms and all were really lovely. We stayed in Room 3 on the top floor and it was light, bright and very clean. So many extra and nice touches. Breakfast was the best we had, all local and cooked to order. We arrived late however told Vicky & Steve in advance and they were really helpful about it. We will be back for sure - thank you xx

Room Tip: All were lovely

I have just spent my 6th weekend of the season at the Invergarry Guest House, and would not go anywhere else. The hospitality of 'mine hosts' Vicky and Steve is exceptional, as is the cleanliness of the rooms, general service - nothing is too much trouble - and the standard of the lovely breakfast - and home made cake! My friend and I treat it more like home from home, and it is a great place to relax and unwind. Roll on 1st April when season starts again! "Sweet memories" - my ashes are going under the rose in the garden, and watered with white wine - haha....Alison and Lorraine
