We stayed here for two nights on a stag weekend. The rooms where basic, but clean, it was a bit run down but for the price you can't complain. I wouldn't take the family here, but for a boys weekend away, I'd definitely stay here again.

We were in a group of 18 girls, and arrived at 11:30, only to be told that we all had to give £10 deposit on top ov the £25 we had already paid. We were given keys and there were 2girls to each room, The reception was dingy, filthy carpets and wallpaper. We were lead to the far side of the hotel, all the way the wallpaper was mouldy and falling off the walls, filthy carpets (if the carpets wern't missing that is!!) The numerous stairs were very narrow and way too steep. When we finally got to our room, the lock did not work properly. The inside of the room was awful. The same filthy, un-hoovered carpets, wallpaper peeling off the walls, filthy shower. There were wires that didnt seem to be going anywhere hanging by the window. The view was of sewage pipes. The room stank of stale smoke. The milk in the tea tray was 2months out of date, and the coffee was dated as best before December 2006!!! My friends sheets were dirty and the manager did not seem happy when we made a complaint, he did not seem to see what the problem was, We asked to see another room that would fit 4 people, this was even worse, the light in the ceiling was filling up with water from somewhere and dripping down onto the carpet. There were dirty ashtrays and ash on the bathroom floor. The same wallpaper and filthy carpets. We ended up staying in the original rooms as we decided it was safer than wet electrics. The owner and manager were not at all helpful, did not see any problem with the place. Refused to give us a refund. What made me laugh was the £10 deposit to prevent damage, when really there was no way that you could cause anymore damage!!! DO NOT stay here!!!!

Room Tip: Find another hotel, don't stay here!!

STOPPED ON THE Way Back FROM THE Pleasure Beach, WE ORDERED FOUR SIRLOIN Steaks, they all came within 5-10 minutes of ordering so we tucked in with the steak knife provided (they should of provided a Chainsaw) We tried to chew it but couldn’t as it was tough and grizzle. So we said to the manager WE WERE Unable TO Eat THIS THEY NEVER EVEN OFFERED an alternative (WOULDN'T OF ate anything ELSE THER anyway) WE WERE Sat BY THE DOOR and Warned TWO YOUNG GIRLS NOT TO COME IN THEN THE Manager Came OVER and Said TO JUST Pay FOR THE DRINKS and Vacate THE BUILDING. SO WE DID. WOULD NOT RECOMMEND Eating IN THIS Steak HOUSE Because THEY DONT KNOW What a Steak IS!!!!

We booked into the tudor Rose on a hen party which is on the front at blackpool via hen and stag party website. We arrived and was told we needed to pay another 10 pound each just in case we damaged the rooms. We were disgusted with this as we had already paid 30 pound for the stay. The corridors were something from the ark, every corridor had a different old carpet and the glass in the doors were cracked, there were old chairs with arms missing at the end of each corridor. The rooms were damp and the carpet has never been hoovered, there was rubbish under the beds, the curtain had hooks missing and did not hang properly. The bedding was okay which was the only plus side. The bathroom was tiny and stunk of drainage, we never used the bathrom, the walls had wallpaper missing and everywhere was painted pale blue even if there was no wallpaper attached, this was throughout the 'hotel' Hence we never slept all night, health and safety would have a field day, as if a fire broke out, no way would you get out in time. when we were leaving in the morning they said the breakfast was out of the hotel and next door in the cafe, we said no thank you. We should have got our monies back, I don't know how they could have the cheek to charge so much, and it has certainly given me an eye opener never to visit blackpool again.

OK, I'll be honest. We used this hotel when on a stag weekend. In fairness we spent about 60 minutes there sober and awake and most of those were in the shower.
This is not the hotel to take your family for a weekend of luxury in Blackpool. The cleanliness was questionable and the rooms had the stench of stale smoke lingering in each room. there was even a half empty ashtray in our room, left over from a previous visitor.
However for a stag weekend it was fine. We got a good nights sleep, no one minded us rolling in at 0530 and the guy at reception even delved into his antique first aid kit to give one of us a plaster.
There is a Yates 50 yds down the prom and a McD's 50 yds the other way. There is a weatherspoon around the corner and a Taxi into town costs £6
To recap, The hotel is OK for a boozy weekend with your mates, the staff are relatively friendly and helpful. If you want to impress anyone, this is not the place for you.
