Stayed here for 2 nights with Caladonian Travel. Really, really enjoyed it, great location just at top of South Pier which was good for the Pleasure Beach. All meals were fab, and plenty of it, service extremely efficient. Special thanks to Frankie who kept the bar open an extra 2 hours each night for Kareoke. The £1 bar was especially good, (house spirts/mixer or 1/2 pints) entertainment & bingo was put on both nights which were also good. The only slight downside to this hotel was room quite dated, but they have tried by wallpapering a modern feature wall. Didn't like the bed throw, very 70's looking. It would look so much better with just the nice clean white duvet set which was underneath. Good sized room, shower had good power and great hot water at all times. Would definitely stay here again, great value. Well done to all staff.

I recently stayed for an overnight with Caledonian Tours. I am surprised that a travel company finds this an acceptable hotel to take guests to. The first impressions are the sign on the outside of the hotel has fallen off and it looks dirty. We entered via a grubby hallway that was in severe need of decoration. The room was needing upgraded and was very basic. The toilet did not flush properly in the ensuite and the shower was disgusting. I would never have used this washing facility. The food left a lot to be desired. I cannot comment on the taste as the look of it put me off and we left the dining room and went out to eat. Not impressed by this hotel at all.

You get what you pay for! Ive visited twice now and both times i have had a great stay. We just needed somewhere to get our heads down after a night of lots of alcohol and it did just the job! Really clean and well looked after. Very well run. would stay again!
