“Cracking, worth a visit.”
Reviewed 1 July 2014 via mobile

After spending sometime looking on trip advisor for a chip shop we decided to give the Yorkshire Fisheries a go as it was ranked number 10 chip shop.
The food was really nice and the value for money was awesome. 4 people, 4 meals including swordfish for under £35 that is a bargain.
The service and the friendly atmosphere in the restaurant part of the chip shop was really good.
If you are in Blackpool this chip shop is worth a visit.

“Excellent fish and chips”
Reviewed 1 July 2014

Coming on a trip to blackpool would not be complete without a meal in the Yorkshire fish and chip shop.

The choice of food is great but the proof of the pudding as they say is in the eating.

“Not as good as it thinks it is”
Reviewed 30 June 2014 via mobile

Not entirely sure what the fuss is about - soggy chips, flat coke, overcooked fish and batter that was mushy and tasteless. At least the curry sauce was tasty.

I am sorry to hear that your meal with us was unsatisfactory. I would like to address the issues that you have raised. As regards the chips, the new crop of potatoes has just come out and no matter how much you cook the potatoes, the chip will be soft due to the high water content. The coke- I have spoken to my suppliers about this problem and will be getting it rectified. As regards the fish- I am surprised that you say it is both overcooked and mushy. I can only say that should you return to Blackpool, please come in and let us show you that we do make excellent fish and chips.

“A good reason to visit Blackpool”
Reviewed 28 June 2014

Yorkshire Fisheries may well be one of the few compelling reasons to visit Blackpool. First experienced YF last summer (staying nearby whilst looking for somewhere to live in Lancaster). Went back today during a short visit to Blackpool. Excellent fish and chips, cooked freshly to order, good value for money, and lovely, friendly service. And for those of a contemplative nature, on the front of the menu there's a photograph of the shop in the 1900s, showing what 100 years of 'progress' has done to Topping Street (and probably to Blackpool in general).
