Description: Dudu Miah opened the new business after a successful 10 years managing the nearby Sunam Tandoori restaurant. His time there saw the Sunam serve such high profile names like Sir Ian Botham and in 1998 the Prime Minister Tony Blair, his wife Cherie and many other Labour delegates. A year later, Miah opened The Indian Orchard Takeaway on Devonshire Road Blackpool. It was an instant hit with locals, many of whom he had built an excellent relationship with over the past decade. It had an open kitchen and a menu with exciting new dishes. In 2004, The Indian Orchard aquired the building next door, which it converted in to a fully licensed restaurant. Now customers had the choice of eating in as well as taking out their favourite curries. The Indian Orchard was the first Indian eatery to score 10/10 in a Blackpool Gazette review. It had established itself as one of the Indian's on the Fylde Coast. In 2009 The Indian Orchard undertook a renovation to add that touch of class which it claims to have. However, the quality of the food will never change! "Our reputation is built on recommendation!"

“The Best Indian Takeaway In Blackpool”
Reviewed 10 July 2013

I am very fussy about where I eat and the quality. You pay slightly more than any other local Indian takeaway but that doesn't bother me as the quality is fantastic. They are actual Indians that own the place which I think makes a huge difference. My husband and I had a chicken tikka jalfrezi, with rice and peshwari naan, spicy poppadoms with onions and chutney. The curry is fab, there is actual flavour to the curry as well as the heat, I like plenty of flavour and that is what you get. The one curry easily feeds both of us, but I do believe they do a smaller portion which is for one person. For everything mentioned above and samosas and bhajis it is £17.50, which is good value for 2 people when you consider the quality. We eat from here 1-2 times a month, its fab, always a great takeawy

“Great Value Deal for Two”
Reviewed 23 May 2013

We love the deal for two for £10 from here; its excellent value and tastes great every time and perfect as its round the corner for us. We ring our order in then go and collect it and its always ready when they say and stays nice and hot.
We get 2 mains, a rice to share, a naan bread and two poppodoms - never had any complaints.

“"Oh Aye !!!"”
Reviewed 26 April 2013

After trying all the Indian restaurants / takeaways in the Thornton-Cleveleys area and not being too impressed, on the recommendation of two of my friends I visited the Indian Orchard on 25.4.2013 for a takeaway. Spotlessly clean inside, open kitchen (which is nice to see), pleasant, courteous staff with fast service. I can recommend the very hot Chicken Naga, hot but very tasty and the Sylheti Bhunha (tikka lamb with spicy sauce and chillies). With a great keema pilau rice and an amazing light and fluffy keema naan bread, the meal went down a treat. The Indian Orchard is slightly more expensive than other takeaways, but in this instance the quality was there, the portions were hearty and the meat content was excellent so really the extra cost is insignificant. Will I go back.... Oh Aye !!!

“It's all about the food”
Reviewed 22 April 2013

We visit here every few months and the food is always great quality and excellent value. Our last visit saw poppadums, pickles and three starters follwed by three main courses with rice and asorted bread. The bill was around £12 per head including a couple of drinks. The menu is varied and has some interesting dishes that tyou won't see elsewhere.

The only reservation for some is that this is almost a cafe attached to a take away. Please continue to let this put you off as it means they'll always have a table for us!

Lovely people, great food, amazing value.

“Sons 18th birthday for family 15 excellent”
Reviewed 14 April 2013

Use this restaurant regularly small and friendly can't beat the food and staff friendliness. Celebrated my sons 18th with 15 members of our family and had an excellent time. All food fresh and very tasty and very reasonably priced. Very clean and tidy staff could not do more to help. Good variety of curries (better than most in Blackpool). We have used before and definitely will be going back.
