stayed here in oct for 2 nights.
rooms were clean and comfortable. stayed in a room for 3, the size was fine, and so as shower room. breakfast was good, although bacon could have been cooked a little more, help yourself to cereal and juice, much tea/cofee and toast as you liked.
be aware that they have a small dog called pip, he is very friendly, but he is let into the lounge and if you are allergic or just do not like dogs, this is not the place for you.
i would recommend this to people.

We came to Rio Rita for a break away from reality and we are glad we chose Rio Rita. When we arrvied, Janice and John welcomed us warmly and made our stay the best it could be. Never had a bad night sleep and the rooms were very cosy and made us feel at home. When we went down for breakfast, all the other guests would stay good morning which was really nice as you wouldnt get that anywhere else. As soon as we sat down, John would always come over to ask if we would like drinks and made sure that we had everything we wanted/needed. I would recommed this hotel to anyone as its close to the sea front, never too noisy or busy and had the best hosts possible.

I booked this Hotel as my friend and I were visiting the Open Golf Championship at nearby Royal Lytham &St Annes in July. Really genuine couple who work hard to ensure a comfortable stay. Room was very clean, food excellent and hot and both John & Janice are quite knowledgeable on what to see and where to go in Blackpool, including pubs, restaurants, tourist spots and all the rides. I wish them well.

The owners, John & Janice, are both very friendly and helpful, and really made us feel welcome from the moment we arrived. They also have a lovely little dog, Pip.

Breakfast is very good; a full English Breakfast with plentiful toast, cereals, tea & coffee and juice. I believe they can arrange for an evening meal (I would assume at an additional cost), although we did not take up this option.

The rooms aren't the biggest but they tick all the right boxes. They are very clean, the beds are comfortable and the bathroom had a nice shower.

The Rio Rita is located at one end of the strip, one block back from the sea front (2 minute walk away). It is very close to the South Pier and Pleasure Beach, however the Blackpool Tower, Coral Island and the majority of pubs and shops are quite a walk away. Fortunately Blackpool has a regular tram running down the sea front, so it's not really a problem either way.

It's also worth mentioning that I don't believe they take on Stag or Hen parties, which is a bonus for anybody concerned about being woken up by 10 people coming in at 4am who have been drinking all day long.

The Rio Rita is a little gem and I would recommend it to anybody considering visiting Blackpool.
