Just arrived back after a 2 night stay at The Newbury. The hotel was very clean and well situated. The owner was very informative, directed us to a cheap carpark also advised us to go to the tourist information to book tickets, saved us money worked out to be 241 on tickets.
Breakfast was lovely and nothing was too much effort. Thank you.

I stayed at the Newbury recently and can honestly say it was perfect the mangeress was very friendly and helpful made you feel right at home, the location was perfect for what we wanted, local shops, pubs, places to eat, the room was small but was cosy and had everything you needed for a short stay, it was very clean, i have a bit of ocd in cleanliness and there was not one bit of dust in the room or anywhere, thw family also run a diner (route 66) which is amazing the food is so good and not at all expensive, i went back to blackpool last weekend but couldnt stay at the newbury as was full, gutted will 100% stay here again, i cannot wait

Very friendly and knowledgeable owners of the area, and the B&B was clean. Good location, only 100 yards from funny girls. Very basic accommodation , but it would be at the price?
Breakfast was good.
The shower was either roasting or stone cold no matter how teeny we adjusted it. I am sure the very helpful owners would have helped had we had mentioned it.
We chose to jump in and out but I am sure had we asked we would have been helped.
Kind of like stepping back in time.
Haven't stayed in a B&B since the kids were little so this was a bit of as wake up call.
I would say you get what you pay for and this really was value for money.
But, it is very budget and if that is what you want then this is highly recommended.
Lovely people, Clean, good information and ideal location.

The worst hotel I have ever stayed in and incredibly it is for sale with a local estate agent (Duxbury's) for the sum of £219,950 (GBP). The pictures on its paper flyers and on websites are a clear misrepresentation of the current standard of this property. The lounge and bar area have been totally altered and appear to be used by the owners as their own front room with clothes under the seating and generally unkempt. Added to this a puppy happily pads around the premises regardless of visiting guests. Sections of wallpaper on the first floor landing are missing revealing some loose plasterwork. Stairs carpet is badly worn and appears dirty. Our room was a disgrace. The carpet was frayed at the edges and badly fitted. The bedding was clean, the decorative cushion on the bed was torn and the pillows were cheap and un-supportive. A loose shelf above the bedhead (dangerously positioned) cloaked an overhead light which didn't work. The bed base had started to collapse and subsequently the mattress was sinking into it which made a good nights sleep almost impossible. Other Trip Advisor reviews have made reference to the Newbury's beds being almost orthopaedic, well I need a trip to an orthapaedic surgeon having attempted to sleep on this bed which was only fit for the tip! Bathroom had no complimentary toiletries and nowhere to place ours. Shower fitments were of poor quality and badly fitted within the cubicle. There was a small vertical box (no door) in the corner of the bedroom which masqueraded as a wardrobe. It was so tiny that the provided coat hangers projected from it which led to coats being hung on hooks inside the bathroom door.
Breakfast was adequate. We couldn't wait to leave this hovel. Anyone considering purchasing The Newbury needs to realise that it has clearly been run down and needs a level of investment not only in the fabric of the building but its reputation also. We will not be returning.
