If you are thinking of visiting the 'famous' Blackpool Illuminations then don't waste your time, petrol or money.half the bulbs are out and the lights are dull and uninteresting. And as for the 'Venus Rising' a class from an horticultural college could do better as the only half decent thing about the cardboard cut-out was the water feature. The traffic is so busy as to hardly move, the pavements are full of people with prams, kids and dogs plus food debis is strewn all over the place. But the bit I am still in shock about is the 'pay to view' that the cars have to contribute to! The reason I visited last night was to see the promenade parade of the Honda Gold Wing motorcycles and their owners. The bikes were unbelievabe but even the organisation of the parade was shoddy and disorganised. This is one attraction to be avoided.
