Reviewed 21 April 2011

This is my first stay at the Adelaide House this year. Got recommended by friends who come for Dance Festivals. The hotel could not possibly be any closer to the Winter Gardens where my conference for USDAW was held. On booking in, I asked for early breakfast during my stay, which was provided by helpful and friendly staff. I didnt stay for evening meals, but the breakfast were delicious, fresh and hot and served to the table. ( I dont like queing up at a buffet table for luke warm eggs and bacon which is what you get in alot of hotels these days ) There was a wide variety of fruit juice, cereals and fruit etc to help yourself to before hand, and as much tea, coffee and toast as you like. I took my laptop and could use the free wi fi without having to go to an internet cafe ( like last year ). My bedroom had been recently decorated and was spotlessly clean. Would I come back to this hotel...... well I have already booked to come with family during the illuminations so that says it all !

Room Tip: book early ! I booked three months beforehand.

The Adelaide House is a clean and friendly hotel in a central location. It has numerous advantages. It is adjacent to the Winter Gardens and the Houndshill shopping Centre and multi storey car park. However it is away from the front and the terrible noise nuisance that you will get there. The hotel does not allow stag or hen parties. Breakfast is very good. Didn't eat dinner so cannot comment. They have just got free wi fi which is a real plus point.
There is restricted parking outside the hotel, you can unload at any time. The multi storey is expensive for long term parking, better to drop off and then use one of the cheaper open plan car parks in the vicinity, such as the central one on Bonny Street. The prices are online for all Blackpool Car parks.
I stay here each year for a dance competition in the Winter Gardens, I have recommended it to numerous friends who have stayed throughout the year and I have no hesitation in recommending it to you.

Room Tip: Centrally located without the noise.

Me and my partner stayed in this hotel and had nothing but good reports to say about it. Adelade hotel is exceptionally clean and very well presented. the hotel is a family run buisness and all the staff are very friendly and couldnt do enough for us. the quality of food was out standing with great veriaty and quality. the hotel is of a great locationg situated just minutes from the newly built shopping centre, winter gardens, and clubs. the adelade house was of great value for money, and i would be happy to reccomend this hotel to anyone who wishes to stay in blackpool.

This is my second visit and I don't want to stay anywhere else.
I looked around the local establishments and looking through the windows on arrival none came close to matching Adelaide House for warm comfort and Christmas atmosphere.Again the best food in town and the warm bar was great for before or after dinner drinks. They made a great effort to provide entertainment nightly. A good thing with the record low temperatures we enjoyed staying 'home' more than we might .Caryn and Derek had a theme night on boxing day in which every one joins in(I am told they do this every year)The location is excellent and access to motorways enabled us to take a day trip to the Lake District ( I am advised a day trip to Wales could be enjoyed on a longer stay).Rental car problems and Derek could not have been more helpful spending considerable time on the phone organizing automobile club assistance on a public holiday. Another nice visit with helpful friendly staff making for a great time away.

This is the second time we have stayed at this hotel during the Blackpool illuminations and we shall be staying there next September. Rooms cleaned daily and the food is superb. Would recommend it to all who are considering a trip to Blackpool. Staff friendly and welcoming in fact this year we felt like we were visiting friends.
Location is fabulous, right next door to the Winter Gardens around the corner from The Grand Theatre. You cut through the new shopping centre to arrive right outside The Tower.
