We booked to stay after reading the reviews on Tripadvisor. And we weren't disappointed. The hotel couldn't be in a better position, next to the Winter Gardens, and our room even had a view of the Blackpool Tower. It was my husband's birthday while we were away; he got a card from the owners and staff of the hotel, and Caryn even organised a birthday cake and champagne for me.

We were booked in for half-board; the breakfast was amazing. Evening meal very generous (we never managed the cheese and biscuits) and Julie couldn't do enough for us and the other guests. A true "home away from home". Great value for a great break away. We would definitely go back and I have already recommended this hotel to family and friends. Clean, comfortable and friendly.

Dear Guest,

Thank you for your lovely review. It was very nice to meet you both the other week, and we are glad you enjoyed your stay with us. The staff enjoyed helping you celebrate your husbands birthday, and I am glad I could help with the cake and champagne! Thank you for recommending us to your friends and family, and we hope you will choose us again if you return to Blackpool.

I always stay in the Adelaide House Hotel when I go to the Blackpool Dance Festival. It must have been at least 10 years. It is conveniently located behind the Winter Gardens and close to the Blackpool Tower. The owners Derek and Caryn Dickson are wonderful and they always make you feel welcome and at home. The rooms are spacious and very clean. Pauline and the staff always do a superb job. The owners and staff are very friendly, sincere, and helpful. The hotel is well maintain, has a very comfortable environment and it feels like home away from home. It is suitable for couples, family, and singles. The owners pay great attention to details and the hotel is always fresh, clean and full of life each year when I go there.

Adelaide House was recommended by a friend and proved to be even better than we could possibly envisage. The prevailing atmosphere of cordiality and courtesy is their unique ingredient in the making of a wonderful holiday for all who stay there. We just happened to be there at the time of the RAF conference and the RAF veterans company along with Dereks made the hotel into a delightful social venue. We are returning for the forthcoming Army veterans weekend and know we will be returning to a warm and welcoming atmosphere. S.Wrightson

The hotel is very close to Blackpool Tower, the Winter Gardens, promenade and the town centre. I stayed with 2 friends during the Royal Air Forces Association national conference over the weekend of 18-20 May 2012. The booking in process was efficient and we were soon in our rooms. The beds were comfortable and the room was bright and airy. The ensuite toilet and shower room was of a good quality and the water pressure was also good in the shower. The meals were excellent and the service provided by the waitresses was first class. The hotel has its own bar which we made use of before and after the evening entertainment in the Winter Gardens, which was only a short walk away. Free Wi-Fi is available throughout the hotel and was used on several occasions. The only down side is the hotel does not have any parking. There is a relatively expensive public car park nearby, however I managed to find a free on-road spot approx 10 minutes walk away so no real problems. Overall a really nice hotel in a good location that I would be pleased to recommend to others. I will certainly stay there again!

Dear Guest,

Thank you for taking the time to give us a lovely review. We are very pleased that you enjoyed all that Adelaide House has to offer during the RAF Conference. Unfortunately, as we are right in the centre of town we dont have a car park at the hotel. Guests get half an hour to unload and we direct them to one of two excellent local car parks (£15 for a week) but I am glad that you found somewhere nearby. I will pass on your lovely comments to the staff, and we hope to welcome you back to Adelaide House soon.

Best Wishes,

Caryn Dickson

We've just come back from a 5 day coach trip here from Berwick upon Tweed. Can honestly say it's the best hotel we've ever stayed in in Blackpool, & the best in 15 years of coach trips. Family run, & nothing too much bother, superb meals, spotlessly clean everywhere, plenty of room in bedrooms & excellent entertainment, central as well, faultess!
