“The smallest room ever!”
Reviewed 25 September 2011

Had a lovely welcome, even if they could not find our booking for some time! We had booked a small double room with shared facilities for £45 for one night.

Having seen the photos on booking.com I was looking forward to a beautifully, stylish decorated room. Alas not only was our room tiny, but so plain and dull. We used the tiny toilet and shower which were clean.

The guest house had room for 3 cars parked tightly together. Just above is a new car park which cost £6.50 for 24 hours.

It is central, right by the tower. It was extremely quiet at night, but our little double bed was so soft and so uncomfortable.

The breakfast was served at 9 am and was lovely.

Just been at the Ascot Guest House, when we arrived we were promptly greeted with a warm smile from the owner Pam.

We had a very nice, comfortable and cosy room, with excellent en-suite facilities.
The whole guest house was immaculate from top to bottom, each morning we had a 5* quality breakfast. It is the perfect guest house for families with young children.

Thank you once again Pam for the excellence service and attention to detail.

We will definitely book our next stay.

After reading reviews on this website I was disappointed at the standards in this B&B, on arrival the owner wasnt sure how much money we were to pay and seemed very disorganised, on entering our room, we found this to be very small indeed and with no toilet tissue, towels were only provided every third day, throughtout the week we again had to ask for toilet tissue and at no point during the week was our room our bathroom cleaned, on a brighter note the bed was very comfortable and the breakfast was nice, I would not recommend this B&B

I read all the reviews about this guest house before I went, and they were all right except for the one that said the land lady was not helpful that review could not be more wrong.

The room was clean comfortable and cosy, the land lady a gem, helpful friendly with a very warm welcome must be the best in Blackpool, I came by motorcycle and you are able to park it at the side of the guest house out of sight behind locked doors, very biker friendly.

The breakfast was first class, this guest house is excellent value, if I'm in Blackpool again this will be my first choice. Thanks Pam
