“Lovely time”
Reviewed 3 November 2013

We had a lovely time Wayne and his team were great hosts. We had a train at 4pm so were concerned about what to do with our cases but they let us leave them at the hotel until we were ready to leave, which helped us enjoy the day. The hotel is situated in a quiet road only a 5 minute walk from the sea front.

We found the Fairhaven hotel a good place to stay with very friendly host & staff.
Excellent full English breakfast, nice residents bar in one half with pool & darts on the other.
In walking distance of town, promenade & theatres a nice stay will go back again.

We are a group of four girls who visited Blackpool for a girly weekend and had pre booked on a website which sent us to another hotel in Blackpool which was the grottiest place you have ever seen in your life so had to leave and wandered around looking for a half decent place. We went into the Fairhaven and immediately felt uplifted. The reception area was very clean and spacious. The owner told us he had two double room left for that evening - perfect!
The rooms were not huge but were just what we required. There are three things that we wanted from a hotel in Blackpool and they are: 1. Clean bedding 2. Clean bathroom and 3. Good full English breakfast the following morning.

All three of these ticked the boxes for us. Everywhere was spotlessly clean and the breakfast was just what we needed after a brilliant night out at Viva Blackpool. Couldn't ask for more! The lady on the bar was fabulous and very welcoming - even when we arrive back at about 2am. Couldn't of made us feel more at home if she'd tried.

Would definitely go back again and stay here - we had a fab time. Thanks to the lovely owners and staff.

Me my partner & two kids booked in this hotel looks nice from outside. Bar an lounge area clean we booked the large bedroom which had 2 double beds. Flat screen tv kettle but there was nowhere at all to put our clothes apart from a shelf with a rail that had coat hangs on it. The only thing was about this it was above the kettle so who in their right mind would want to hang their clothes above a kettle. The bathroom was a nice size clean & tidy yet again another problem the cold tap every time you turned it on the whole tap turned around I thought it was going to come of in my hand. Wen my 11 yr old son had a shower hardly any water came out of the shower head bearly enough to get him wet. Wayne was drunk seemed he had been drinking all the time. Julia was arguing with Wayne an Gary late at night loud enough for all the guess to hear.
It says they have wifi yes they have wifi but It DOESN'T WORK you cannot connect to the Internet we where booked in until the 13/8/13 but we left a day earlier. I WON'T BE GOING BACK TO THIS HOTEL
Oh another thing we went out all day so they could clean our room when we got back tea time it still hadn't been done I had to go down stairs an give our rubbish bags to Wayne & I had to ask for clean towels

Room Tip: I ADVISE YOU DON'T BOTHER BOOKING THIS HOTEL Sorry but there are no good rooms On the second f...

We had originally booked next door at the Bellmont but the rooms were terrible there and after they became very rude and aggressive when we complained they virtually threw us out. Luckily the Fairhaven was right next door and offered us one of their family rooms. The room was immaculately clean and spacious. All the staff couldn't do enough for us and made us feel very welcome. Breakfast the next morning was great and plenty for everyone. I would defiantly visit the Fairhaven again.

Room Tip: We had room 25 which had 2 double beds and 1 single bed with en-suite. There was plenty of room for...

Booked this B&B few days in advance only wish we had checked trip advisor first......
Myself, sister and niece arrived at this B&B around lunchtime on Saturday , spoke to Wayne in advance to let him know time, had to knock the door and wait awhile before Wayne opened it , first impressions was hey he looks rough, even tipsy, he seemed very disoriented about our booking. Got to the room unpacked went out , on returning to get changed for our evening we walked through the bar area where they was Wayne and Gary plus few quests drinking and being very loud. We decided to have a quick drink before going out thought maybe get to know the owners , but it came quickly apparent this was not a good idea, it was awful never before stayed anywhere and felt uncomfortable owners were drunk. On returning about midnight it was obvious we were not going to get much rest, owners and blokes were shouting and swearing, this went on until early hours it was terrible.
At breakfast two women who worked there where laughing and joking with blokes about last night, all were loud and swearing, we got ignored, only person who spoke and was polite was a young girl who kept breakfast flowing.
Would not recommend this place to my worst enemy .
