Couldn't have asked for anything better! I was made to feel at home for the full four weeks I stayed. Ian, Jay and Jamie went above and beyond to help me. Everything was clean. The best bit of all was the food, it is AMAZING! I had a different meal every single night and loved every one of them, I was never hungry with the portions. Thank you so much Ian, Jay and Jamie I will be back before you know it!

Don't stay Here if you:- Don't eat much - the portions are as huge as you want them, delicious, well cooked with plenty of choice, especially breakfast.

Don't stay Here if you- are a misery - Ian, Jays and Jamie's infectious laughter and antics will win you over- you will crack a smile when they enter a room- this is a happy place to spend time at and be in the company of some great hosts.

I could go on saying just how good it is but then it might not be available for me when I am in the area.again.

Ian, Jay and Jamie are the perfect hosts, we had the run of the accommodation witch allowed us to get to know our hosts a little bit. Even though there was a few mishaps on our part they were still as nice as ever.

The food was homely and delicious especially the potatoes on our Sunday dinner, props to whoever made them :D.

The property was clean, tidy and cozy and there was plenty of space, the family enjoyed their weekend and would gladly come back.

Thank you for having us in your home and taking care of us, hope to see you again :d

This is my third time staying at the Mayfield, and as we get to know Ian Jay and Jamie and they get to know us, the service we got was no different than the first time we went. I honestly can`t find a bad thing to say about this hotel. As we turned up, our bags were taken to our room even though i insisted it was ok and i would do it, and then the usual brew was made for us before we totally began to feel "right at home". Again food was excellent, with us being given a good choice every night. Drinks at the bar are cheaper than any of the pubs too. We enjoyed it that much that we have booked to go again in August, and i can say i can`t wait.

Room Tip: All rooms are to the same standard and will be allocated depending on the size of the party
