Description: Benvenuto, This is La Piazza Italian Restaurant in Blackpool, we have kept the same principles of running our restaurant that made us a local favorite over 25 years ago. We are an authentic family run restaurant and every member has actively contributed to its life at some point. We are proud of our Italian heritage and aim to provide the best and freshest ingredients cooked with real Italian flare. Almost everything is made fresh to order here, we are not a chain, nor do we aspire to be. So if you feel like a Spaghetti alla Carbonara without bacon or Pollo Cacciatore without mushrooms, no problema! We encourage you to join us in the true Italian experience, as if you were in an Italian casa. Ask your friendly waiter about a bottle of Chianti or Pinot Grigio, enjoy a true Italian birra, why not order an antipasto with Garlic Bread before your main meal, we make our Tiramisu and other desserts right here so don’t be shy to give it a try. Finish your lunch or dinner with an enjoyable espresso or cappuccino, accompanied by a smooth Vecchia Romagna or Amaretto with ice? Please feel at home, enjoy the food we have enjoyed cooking for many years, and enjoyed eating for many more! Feel free to let us know if you have any questions about the menu or suggestions for the future. Grazie e Mangiamo!

Reviewed 11 April 2012

not give a warm welcome felt like we where in the way only time they smiled was when we were leaving, ran out of bread for the table and got told we could have garlic bread for a small cost .NO .had whitebait the smallest portion I've ever seen. no brown bread ,lasagne for £8.00 but please save your money if you are hungry you will need to have 3 to fill the kids, are eat 2 and wanted more , sirloin steak so thin and cut in 2 and 3 to fill the plate never seen sirloins like this more like rump and veg hid under the meat to make it look like a full plate .. we paid £170 for 5 adults and 3 children soft drinks cost more then wine by the glass ..so stay away if you are looking for value for money

“A hidden gem!”
Reviewed 6 April 2012

A second visit to the opera house for joe bonamassa concert. As we were weighing up where to eat we heard domenico talking outside in Italian. Without further ado we entered "La Piazza" a lovely inviting warm welcome. Run by the family they delivered some of our favourite dishes in true authentic style and flavour. There is fabulous banter with domenico and takes pride in everything he and the family do. We can't praise this restaurant enough!
This place deserves all the support from far and a field, some of the people sat near us had come before several times! It really is that good! Bon appetite to all new comers!

Great service and excellent food. A MUCH better option for Italian than Nunzio's. Well worth a visit!
