We stayed in Sunnyside last evening, 31 Aug. Having read mixed reviews on here, we were a little cautious. Yes, the hotel is dated and yes the room was small, we stayed in number 42, having said that, the room was very clean, bed linen and towels were very clean. The welcome warm and the breakfast hot and plentiful. There was no sign of the foul smell some people have commented on and for what we paid, it was a bargain. We have friends who live close by and so, when next we visit them, we will stay at Sunnyside again for sure. Thanks for a lovely stay and you can be sure we will be back again.

3 couples stayed at this hotel in Aug, we wanted to book a good value place, close to all bars etc. This did not dissapoint, great central location, staff were friendly, parking at the back of hotel (becareful dont go down the narrow lane) ask at reception before you park. rooms were fairly small, however we were only there for one night so no probs. similar expereince to other folks staying here clean and tidy place. only downside is the smoking allowed in room (just a bug bear of mine) the smoke lingers even if you dont smoke. breky was buffet style and was eat what you like and was of good standard. would recommend it, and return for a weekend away. thanks.

Room Tip: upgrade to a bigger room if you there longer than a weekend

booked into this hotel for the weekend end of july. me my wife daughter and grandson. our room was really spacious but my daughters was quite small and the only problem was her television did not work. i know this sounds trivial , but it keeps her 2 year old son amused watching cbbc so he had to come to our room to watch it ..now down to the important facts. the rooms were clean and the towels were changed daily and the housekeeping on both rooms was first class. we booked b and b and the breakfast was the best i have had, most hotels serve you but this was buffet style so you helped yourself to what you wanted . the choice was large and was more than enough for all tastes.. my daughter is the most fussiest and when she says she is impressed,, well get the flags out.the staff were friendly and really helpful the bar and concert room was large and drinks were reasonably priced.. it is close to all the amenities in town overall, we had a great weekend and will try to return next time we are in blackpool

After politely declining many hotels in Blackpool my family booked for The Sunnyside !!! I must admit I am quite hard to please and to be honest don't want a couple of nights in Blackpool to cost the same as a trip to Florida !!!
Arriving at this hotel i was so impressed by the well appointed exterior and was met by friendly amenable, SUNNY staff !!! Lovely airy reception with gorgeous leather settees. Our room was clean, fresh and had everything we needed. The location is fantastic right in the heart of the town but far enough away to ensure a peaceful nights sleep. Breakfast was gorgeous - help yourself and NOTHING was too much trouble !!! I will book EVERY time here when I visit Blackpool and feel disappointed that I didn;t find this gem of a hotel earlier !!!!
