I stayed at this hotel last October (2009) because my usual hotel, Windsor House on Dickson Road, was full up for the first night I needed to stay.
This hotel came recommended and I wasn't disappointed.
It's on Lord Street so close to the gay bars, Funny Girls and other gay hotels but one street back from Dickson Road so it's a bit quieter. Your hosts Jim and John are a lovely pair of cheeky London lads with lovely accents fro
"dahn sarth" which makes a nice change in northern Blackpool!
I had a single room at the top of the house - it was cosy but enough room and the ensuite was surpisingly roomy. the bed was comfy, it was very clean and warm with a double-glazed window.
The breakfast was plentiful and tasty and the dining room bright and airy.
Jim and John are both lovely lads - funny, chatty and funny with plenty of knowledge about what to do and where to go in Blackpool. There's a nice bar too.
It's not the Ritz, but ifyou need a clean, friendly place in on a budget this area of Blackpool I'd happily
recommend here, it has everything you need at a good low price.
